OMG, I'm going to scream.

Beth Karas says: "I was talking to the public information officer, Lisa Allen, of Sheriff Arpaio's (sp?) office and she was the one talking to the media in the hallway while the jury is deliberating but she had gone back to talk to Jodi and ask her who she wanted to interview with. She had a whole list of people. And Jodi Arias...I saw her notations...crossed off some and wrote "OK" beside others...and then Lisa Allen said "She demanded makeup." And I said "Really?" And she said "Yes, we had to go out and buy her makeup.""

***??? WHY is Jodi allowed to dictate everything to EVERYBODY?!?!

Absurd! Absolutely ABSURD!!! :furious:

:lmao:

I'm gonna bet Jodi's rights to be heard don't stop just because she's a convicted felon now, something about the Constitution. ;)

I didn't realize make-up was a right guaranteed by the Constitution. :rotfl:

Can someone please explain to me how JA can get away with actually demanding makeup from the Sheriff's public information officer before she gives her interviews?! ... Let alone being permitted to do interviews until 12am tonight at all! :faint: ... Beth Karas reported this on NG, and then again of Dr. Drew ... I just can't comprehend any of this :confused3 ... I thought Sheriff Arpaio ran a tight ship ... How the heck is JA being allowed to do this? ... She is a convicted felon now, did they not get the memo? ... :sad2:
:confused3:confused3:confused3 Really makes my blood boil.
I know. Sheriff Arpaio'S office looks like wimps now.
I hope he gets a lot of grief for it.

From Dr Drew:
Jodi's statement was 19:02 minutes
The pain she caused Travis's family: 4:05
Travis's "skeletons": 1:23
Talking about Jodi: 13:34

That falls under Arpaio is a wimp.

At whose expense? She can sit there and talk her *** off to the wall. She can write a letter. She can answer a questionnaire. Do a phone interview. Certainly nothing that's going to disrupt the structure/punishment of life in JAIL/PRISON or cost taxpayers.

Yeah, me either.

Now you see why I favor the death penalty? There will be no peace until she's dead.

Oh it is!

So who's gonna buy me some more MAC? I'm on a tight budget, but it's my constitutional right and all...

Jodi just has that way about her, even more reason to give her the dp - I mean how much can you manipulate in what's basically solitary confinement.

In case anyone missed this.

They said she could be up until 3 AM or something giving interviews???? WHY doesn't she have to comply with a "lights out"??? Don't they have to be in their cell by a certain time??

Why is she getting special treatment?

Why is she allowed this much time out of her cell? She is a convicted murderer now.

Not for the Alexander family, that's for sure. I have never really thought about the death penalty much. I guess because I thought life in prison would be horrible too, but in this case life is not going to shut her up.

On HLN after dark: Wonder if they will ask Arpaio why she gets make up and stay up late

Vinnie Politan asks Joe Arpaio about Jodi being able to sit down and speak to reporters. Per Arpaio:

Heh. Let me tell you something. I've been sheriff for 21 years. I have an open door policy. Any inmate who wants to talk to the media and they sign a consent, I allow that to happen. I have nothing to hide. I believe in the First Amendment and that's the way it happens. I don't discriminate. I treat everybody the same.

Vinnie asks about the procedure...what's the physical setup for interviewing a convicted murderer:

We got a room, we do all the time. We have the detention officers for security. We're not concerned about any security matters.

There's more, but you can watch on HLN or online probably on HLNTV.com.

I wonder if the other inmates can conduct interviews anytime they want to also :scratchin ...

Pathetic ... This entire trial has turned into nothing more than a pathetic Lifetime movie ... It is just so disheartening ... IMO, the jury and TA's family are being so disrespected by the judge lifting the gag order on JA before the jury even came back with their verdict ... These jurors have dedicated months of their lives to this trial and TA's family has been suffering for years hoping to seek justice for their brother ... And I don't want to hear about the convicted felon's constitutional rights ... What about the victims' rights?! ... The judge could have at least waited until after the verdict was reached and the jury was dismissed before she lifted the gag order ... Then JA could have talked all she wanted ... Pathetic ...

I dont remember where I heard this from (sometime during nursing school), but Locks of Love doesnt donate to cancer patients from what I recall, they stated that loss of hair is a temporary condition. Instead they donate to Alopecia patients with a more permanent condition. I had no idea when I heard of this the first time, but struck a nerve when JA said it during her statement.

I missed his interview ... However, I think I'm happy I did ... Otherwise, my DH may have been a bit bewildered when he came into the bedroom and saw one of his shoes embedded in the TV set :duck: ;) ... I have had just about enough of listening to all the BS in this case ...

Regarding the other inmates and their right to do interviews...see my post above yours.

Joe Arpaio did say..."if she's sentenced to death, my people will take her immediately to the state prison, drop her off, and I'm finished with her."

:)

WHAT IS LOCKS OF LOVE?

Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under age 21 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. We meet a unique need for children by using donated hair to create the highest quality hair prosthetics. Most of the children helped by Locks of Love have lost their hair due to a medical condition called alopecia areata, which has no known cause or cure. The prostheses we provide help to restore their self-esteem and their confidence, enabling them to face the world and their peers.

I'm sure that Jodi is doing these interviews in the hopes that a juror sees at least one of them and then she can cry foul and get a mistrial. This is SO sickening. Let her do her interviews but tell her she needs to wear her jumpsuit and no makeup or anything. By asking for that stuff, it proves her narcissim is through the roof and there is NO remorse at all. Not even a little. Plus her opening line in her speech today basically equated to "I didn't know how wonderful prison could be and how not absolutely terrible it will be!"

I didnt want to speak wrong information, but I have always thought since I knew this that in my personal opinion it was wrong that they will not donate wigs to children with cancer due to the fact that it is a temporary condition of hair loss since chemotherapy is intermittent and may or may not result in hair loss. I do commend them for donating wigs for alopecia patients.

If it was my organization I would have the so called temporary cancer chemotherapy patient return their wigs to give to other patients.

When are these "interviews" going to be on? Tonight? Or are they going into edit. Pisses me off but I want to hear what she has to say.

She'll be able to have relationships with other inmates if she's sentenced to life.

I hope the jury is just sleeping on it tonight...to confirm their decision tomorrow.

I agree, just like her statement last week that she wanted the death penalty which obviously backfired on her and her DT let her know it. I also think she wanted to use Travis's pictures in her powerpoint to show how wonderful their relationship once was and thats what took so long in chambers today was to remove said pictures and statements from her notes.

Ill keep an eye out, usually the FB page JA vs. state has pretty good links to new information. Just saw this when I went to go look to see if any interviews have been posted yet.

Nothing too new but I think they are saying Nurmi got a 200k pay raise after he asked for a pay increase from the normal 125$ to a 225$ salary.
