I NEVER EVER hit my mother as a teenager or as an adult and my teenage son has NEVER hit me ever. To ALV that is typical teenage stuff? BS! I have 7 siblings, not one of us ever raised a hand to our parents.

Once my mom said "Hit me, I know you want to" and I didn't...mainly because I knew she would knock me on my ****, but because there is a respect for my parents. I didn't even swear in front of her then or now. Nor did I really yell back. Slammed plenty of doors and my eyes probably fell out of my head a few times from rolling around, but never, ever, not once did I lay a finger on either of my parents.
