i work part time at wdw. i was supposed to be at the magic kingdom doing tom sawyer island and the country bear jamboree, but i didn't "check-out" on TSI because i wasn't comfortable at all driving those rafts. so im starting new at epcot in merchandise at that store thats right underneath spaceship earth. -sigh-

I'll have to go see if you're working there when I go, this fall.

I babysit as many teens do and also work at an interior design studio. I also worked at a one week science camp.

I used to have the coolest job ever, but I don't do it anymore. =[

i was a historical interpretor at Black Creek Pioneer Village.
(which is like....an upper canada village type of thing....ummm....I don't know what to compare it to for Americans.....it's a place that has all these old houses and antiques and everone who works there dresses up as a pioneer and pretends like they are in pioneer times)
so i used to get to dress up as a pioneer and pretend i was in pioneer times.
it was pretty fun!!

i didnt get paid...it was a volunteer job but it was super fun.

We have a lot of stuff like that in NB.
La Pays De La Sagouine, Kings Landing, etc.
So I know what you're talking about.

but I just love the lies they spit out ("Oh yeah, we live in those tiny shacks over there with no internet or anything")

hahaha.....yeah it's fun.

i admit, i didn't know everything there was to know about working there are i QUITE often just made things up.

Like one day I was working in a barn and there was this big contraption in the barn and everyone was asking me what it was and i had no idea so i just said
"It's what we use to put our horses in when we need to put horseshoes on them"
....i never found out what that thing was!

I
(A) Just quit Kohls.
(B) Just started yesterday in a mill:sad2:(but it pays so goood;) !)
(C) am Skier/Photographer for Midwest Skier
(D) do paperwork for the local coop.
aka all year.

I just quit at Kohl's too. They were terrible. I got moved around and they never really explained what I was doing, as I only was trained in POS, not on the floor stuff. Plus I had an area supervisor literally shove me and yell at me one day. I don't mind hectic jobs, but man, don't need to push me around. They were perpetually cranky, and that's just not fun to work for people like that.

I just got hired at Stop and Shop, and I start next week. It's definately a "step down" from Kohls pay-wise (7.25 vs 8/hour) and union dues/fees -$10 for the first few paychecks, but it's an easy job, closer, more relaxed and fun. I'd rather have that anyday. Plus the people at S+S are all basically young kids in high school/college, whereas Kohls was older women mostly looking for part-time jobs.

Aww that sucks. I actually liked working at Kohls. Everyone at mine was super nice. I can see how you got frustrated. I was mainly hardlines, but then my main department(Intimates & Accessories) switched back to softlines in April, so I was back and forth. But yah, there were a ton of days where I was the only one in hardlines, one of the two in softlines, and a backup at POS.(the scheduling was aweful) It was pretty much crazy trying to answer all the calls. But I was use to it, and I like running around.

Colonial Williumsburg sounds like that.

I'm going to apply at GC Services sometime this week or next. I should today...

They pretty much are the people who call you and tell you to pay your bills, or you call them and cry about why you can't pay your bills.
It sounds lame and annoying, but they get $7-something an hour and it's in an air conditioned building.

I've worked at petsmart for over a year and a half now and I love it. I work in the pet care department.
