First of all I just want to say hello to everyone since its been about 6 months since I last posted on here. (It was too hard to think about disney world when I knew I wasn't going back)

Anyway, as I'm now 16 and having to think about future careers etc... I just wondered how easy it would be for a brit to get a job in disney. How would you go about it etc...

I know its a few years off yet but its my dream to work there and make peoples holidays as memorable as mine.

I'd love to be a face character really... But I need to loose a fair bit of weight before thats ever going to happen.

Working in epcot would be great too, in the britain bit =]
or in magic kingdom! - I'd love to be in the dreams come true parade!

oo speaking of the parade.. the band that marches through just before it starts.. is it always all male? I play a few differant instruments and wondered if I'd be able to be in that.

If you've read all that then thank you so much!
And if anyone has any starter tips then thank you again.

Katy xx

I'm sorry I don't have any tips, but I wish you lots of luck in getting your dream job :wizard: :wizard:

Hi Katy

My Mum saw your post and rang me up lol! I was a Disney cast member in the Epcot United Kingdom for 6 months in 2000, so hopefully I can be of help. I was 18 and it was an opportunity I took up as part of a 'gap year' (tho' in the end i didn't go to Uni). So yes, its possible and I'd be happy to help you if I can.

Feel free to pm me with any and all questions, seems like you have a fair few :)

Best Wishes,
Gaspode

Thanks for all the luck and support :goodvibes

I've found a great website:

(sorry for linking if its not allowed)

I've favourited it and will be sending off my CV on my 18th birthday :goodvibes

My son Alex who is 16 soon, is interested in the same thing so you may end up being there the same time !! He would love to end up as an officer on the DCL - it would be one of the new ships by the time he's got his degree.
