Job interview annoyance

I am put in for a job as technical operator at work. It will be a job where you will help the fitters doing minor repairs. I got my letter giving me my interview date (this wednesday) but I am going to have to complete a personality test!! Has anyone done one of these? If so do you get the results? I have to admit that whole thing is making me reconsider going for the job personality tests mental ability tests group exercises who comes up this nonsense its just a job for crying out loud at the bottom it says this

" one of the key outputs from this development centre (whether you are successful or not)will be a personal development plan to support your future development"

I am really really really p****d of by the whole thing! Someone tell me its going to be ok otherwise I am going to tell them where to shove the dam interview!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aah don't worry to much there's no right or wrong answers on these things. If you want some practice there's plenty of websites where you can have a go at these tests for free so you know what to expect. Good luck for Wednesday

Many companies are starting to go along this route when they are recruiting as it helps them get a better understanding of who is applying for the job.

As it was mentioned there is not right or wrong answers, its just a psychological assessment which helps them see how you would solve certain senarios.

Well its 12:16 and I am back home, the maths test was a bit fast and I am not to sure how I did on the mechanical test. The verbal test was ok and I still don't put any faith in personality tests but the group test was funny. We had to use machano type stuff to make handcuffs and handcuff each other left hand to right hand. I think we threw them on this because it was done in about 3 minute flat! They said that we had done it faster than any group they had tested. Then they had us ask questions and it was the three women who did all the asking the men staid silent. I am glad I went on this interview the next one has a man on it with breath like a week old littler box!!!! So we see where it goes from here!
