Jingle Jam worth the trip back to HS?

Hi,
On our HS day, we were planning on leaving the park earlier (due to the fact that there's 3 or 4 rides that we're interested in) and having dinner at Homecoming in Disney Springs. We have a 6:20 reservation. Of those who have seen Jingle Jam, would it be worth hurrying through dinner to try to make it back to HS for a 8pm show? I was thinking of possibly trying to get an earlier reservation, which would give me more time to get back, but then I'm thinking it may not be worth it and to just spend the rest of the night walking around DS. Any opinions?

Everything I have read and seen about that show says that FOR ME it would not be worth it. We are going in November and will not be seeing it. If you decide you must see it, definitely try to move up your ADR. Sounds stressful to me, though, I'd rather have a leisurely dinner then walk around DS.

I am a huge fan of Prep & Landing and given that the characters feature prominently in Jingle Bell Jingle Bam it is definitely a must for our family. We've booked the dessert party for ease of viewing. However, I think the timing of the show varies. For example when we are going on December 22nd the Dessert Party starts at 5pm and Jingle Bell Jingle Bam starts at 6:30pm. My understanding is that Hollywood Studios is offering another new nighttime holiday experience - Sunset Seasons Greetings. It will snow on Sunset Blvd and holiday projections will be displayed on the Tower of Terror.

I was wondering if we should make some time to head back to DHS for the holiday offerings. I guess we'll just play it by ear, nothing particularly sounds like a can't-miss to me.

Went last year, so unless they've improve it I would say it wasn't worth it, which is a shame. Well apart from the snow at the end, my little one had so much fun playing in that. :santa:

I think the SW show is so much better in comparison.

I would vote no. The storyline is a yawn. I wish it had just been more of great, fun holiday songs. The effects are okay. My biggest problem with it is that it is just not a good venue for viewing that type of event. You get there early. You stand for a long time. People squeeze in front of you at the last few minutes. The view is obstructed not only by people, but by structures.

It was a once and done for us, and all of us agreed that it should have been a skip it all together.

Thanks for all the feedback. I've managed to get an early lunch (Sci Fi) and a 5:00 dinner at DS. If we're finished by 6, we're going to try to head back to see the shows. I think I'm more interested in the newer show on Sunset, where they project off of TOT and have fake snow. We shall see.
