Jingle Bell Jingle BAM Show at DHS with Dessert Party Details POST 8

it has made a difference during the SW dessert party. That party started with 125 and it's now at 200. There's no shortage of food and drink but they have had to add some more tables which makes navigating around that a bit difficult, but the biggest impact has been on the viewing area, more people have reported the viewing area being packed.
maybe they will expand the viewing area. for SWaGS the limitation to having an indoor party is how packed it is in Launch Bay... and they found ways to expand it a bit. Maybe they have determined what capacity is in the courtyard and it's higher than Launch Bay. They can make the viewing area whatever they want.

Well I think I might be switching to 11/17 now that they opened that up. Works better in our schedule and I was a little worried about going to the first night. Since they opened the 17th up I really hope they might do the same for the 16th. That would be perfect. Little worried about the amount of people allotted for it. 250 seems very high.

I not really worried about the amount of dessert. For me it I am worried about being crammed into a small viewing area. I will have a double stroller with a 11 month old and a 5 year old who will want to see. Oh well it's a waiting game for sure now.
I too have a double stroller with a 14 month and 4 year old, so being crammed in is not ideal. Do they allow strollers in the viewing area as my 14th month might be asleep by the 9:00 show?

Ugh. The bigger crowd and the later time during Thanksgiving week are both giant negatives for us. If these reviews are anything other than totally amazing, we are cancelling for sure.

They did for the Star Wars fireworks so I am counting on the same thing.

I just want to remind everybody of the alternative to not having the dessert party.
If you want a prime view (like the one that the dessert party has) you will have to grab a spot no later than at least an hour and a half before, longer during the holiday weeks
I'm not saying to book or keep the party, that's completely up to you, but just wanted to remind you of the alternative.

The Star Wars Dessert Party reservations became available for New Years Eve today. The start time is listed as 10:45 pm so I'm hoping this is for the New Years countdown. Other

In all honesty we would probably skip DHS altogether this trip if we can't have a perfect view of this show. It's the reason we have booked this party. To have a perfect view of the show that I don't have to fight for or scope out hours in advance.

In all our trips to WDW we have never watched a parade at MK because we have no interest in wasting time holding a spot only to have someone walk up at the last minute and butt in beside us or stick their kids in front of us.

Maybe I'm expecting something that Disney isn't promising? The desserts are a minor thing to me, I'm paying for a prime spot to watch the show. My expectation is not to have to be the first one out there to get a good spot. Everyone who pays for this party should have a good view without having to squeeze in or be the first one there IMO.

Expectations are something that can make our break an experience.
Disney is telling you that you will have a dessert party, that includes some savory items, alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. A character that will mingle around. A pair of glasses that will make lights look like snowflakes, ginger bread men, etc. And a spot to view the show. That's it
The area that will be reserved for the party will hold 250 people, obviously not everyone will have THE BEST spot. But you will have a great spot
It's important to know what to expect and don't expect too much

I was very surprised to see I could book the dessert party online for Nov 18! I am so on the fence about it, but I think I might bite the bullet and make a reservation.

Any updates/reviews of the CM preview yet?

I'm not a CM and I wasn't in the park, but I was staying at Coronado Springs that night and was able to see (and hear - holy cow!) the fireworks around 9:45pm (Nov 3).

The fireworks portion seemed a bit short, but jaw-dropping intense!! I can't wait to see the whole show! ;)

A few friends saw it, they thought it was good. I think just go in knowing what it is - a projection show and some fireworks. It sounds like it's cute, but nothing spectacular. I might just still be bitter about the Osborne Lights though!

I cancelled my dessert party because I just don't think it was worth it, but I still think I'll try to catch it with my little one at some point.

I live 20 minutes from WDW property and I can set my watch from the fireworks shows. Especially Wishes and the ones done at DHS. They are very loud
