That's awesome! Since he used to only come out on Earth Day I thought my chances of seeing him were near to none. I wonder if Stanely is on his way to retirement? I haven't seen him on Playhouse Disney in forever

If you mean playhouse disney as in the tv channel thing, he comes on every morning at 6am. I wake up at 6 to go to school every morning and while I eat my breakfast I watch him.
I hope they are not retiring him as a meet and greet character and even if they are, he better still be there in 8 days! LOL. I want to see him.

Note to self...head directly to Conservation Station at the beginning of character meet 'n greet time!!!! I SO hope he's still there when we go for Christmas. I've only seen him once (besides in parades) in our 6 WDW trips and 1 DL trip--and DH was fussing so bad about the heat (June trip) that I just walked on.

I hated Conservation Station the one and only time we went there, but believe me, I'll be on a train heading out Christmas Day this year.

Jiminy is a great one!!!!!! I was fortunate to be at Disney this past year for the I Dig Bugs weekend at Epcot and got to meet him, however going back in March and would love it if he was still appearing at AK, so many people love him I think it would be wise of them to keep him out on a regular basis.

We saw him just last week in conservation station. No line; he, Pocohantas and Rafiki were kind of standing around late in the day.

I also saw the penguin from the new movie that is coming out soon - saw him out near the American pavilion in Epcot. There was a line so so signature or pic - but cool anyway.

We saw him just last week in conservation station. No line; he, Pocohantas and Rafiki were kind of standing around late in the day.

I also saw the penguin from the new movie that is coming out soon - saw him out near the American pavilion in Epcot. There was a line so so signature or pic - but cool anyway.

I was at the American Adventure this week a few times, and on Friday we saw Mr. Penguin from Mary Poppins - maybe that's who you saw too? I haven't heard of any other new penguin out!

Which is what I assumed too as I walked past the character. I just looked it the movie online and...being a WB movie, that is WRONG!!

So what did I see? I dunno. The character looked a little like Mr Penguin from Mary Poppins, but had a longer, thinner beak. Maybe it was the sun or maybe the costume has changed.

I saw it as we walked from Italy to USA in Epcot, the character had their back to the lagoon and had a long line to meet them.

Yep - that's my site! I didn't know I was famous!! I am just an underemployed librarian with a useless computer degree, with too much time on my hands!

I dug through my photo memory card, and found the photo we took of the penguin on Friday at the American Adventure. Here my happy nieces pose with him:

Is that who you saw? I am not sure if Mr. Penguin has different "looks" to him, now you got me curious! We only saw the character group that came out at around 3:30ish, as my nieces collasped from exhaustion right after that!

Is it just me or does it seem like there are about a dozen films lately with penguins in them? Are penguins the new lion cubs or something?

On Friday we met Jiminy Cricket at the Conservation Station in AK. One of the CM's told me they've just added him as a character meet; he replaces Stanley who used to be in the Conservation Station. Stanley can now be found outside the main entrance to AK.

I was SO EXCITED to see Jiminy Cricket! I was like a starstruck little girl!! He even kissed my hand...what a gentleman!

WOOHOO!!!!! In 38 trips I have only seen him once from a distance. I have to tell my son, this one is daddy first!!!!

I saw Jiminy on 10/5 at Conservation Station. It was GREAT - I'd been looking for him for years. Never thought I would ever get to see him. I'm so glad they added him to the line-up!!!!

We got Jiminy' signature in front of AK at park closing last December. Did he and Stanley switch spots?
