Jiminy Cricket At Diney????

We saw Mr. Cricket in Fantasyland last May. Our family was resting in the sitting area outside of Ariel's Grotto and a CM escorted him out. We were the only ones to notice him for a few moments so we got lots of pictures (see my signature) and spoke to the CM about why Jiminy appears so infrequently. This particular CM said it was the first time that she had seen Jiminy in any park (and she had been there four years). The reason she gave was that his costume is very difficult to clean, which sounded odd to me. Maybe someone else has heard another reason?

Anyway, I agree with those who said that the CHIP hotline is your best bet.

Just want to give a little heads-up for those mentioning the Bus at Epcot. It no longer makes appearences. Jiminy now appears at the Conservation Station at AK.

I am always on the lookout, but haven't gotten lucky yet.... Jiminy is my all-time fave (ya think?)!! I have never been all that into autographs and schmoozing with the cahracters, but I would make an exception for him! Also, I have kids now so character greeting time will be a big part of our next trip.

I am going straight to the city hall.

I am going to purchase (on ebay) whatever I can find as far as clothing with Jiminy on it and wear it while there in October and maybe that will help me with a sighting. I have a really nice polo shirt and a sweatshirt so far! I am sooooo determined to see him.

he was out for hours on Earth day 2 years ago in the rose garden passing out lady bugs for lady bug release...many people didn't wander down there and missed him!!!...not sure when Earth Day is every year, but if you want to plan a trip around it you might get lucky

We saw him on April 3rd at Conservation Station in Animal Kingdom around 5:00

Jimney was at Rafiki planet watch in Dec. The CM there told my DH that usually he only makes appearance on his anniv date or Walt's b-day.

Jiminy is starting to make more regular appearances at Conservation Station in Animal Kingdom... it's not everyday, but he's there more regularly though.

We've seen him in December and now April.

The lighting where we've seen him is a little tough - at times it's too light with the sun shining on him and at other times it is very dark. It's tough to get decent pictures. This one turned out about as well as we could get - better than most of our other ones.
