Hi, guys!

Does anyone remember the episode of MB where there are rumors about a scandal involving some secret of Jim Dial's? There are nothing but rumors till the end when Jim says he'll reveal it in his weekly editorial segment. In the segment he explains that his secret is that there is no secret- that he has never done anything really bad and to that he says "Good for me!" He goes on to say he's never done drugs and "Good for me!" and he's only ever been with one woman and "Good for me!" and all these other things, ending each one with "Good for me!"

Okay, so I am obviously unnaturally and completely in love with this particular speech and I'd love to find it transcripted somewhere if anyone knows of a place where I could find it, a recording of it, a DVD, anything. It really fits my outlook on things. Thanks!!!!

I loved Murphy Brown. I think that I remember that episode. Good luck in locating it.

Off to go google it. I'll see what I can find.

OK: this is the episode name: http://www.tv.com/murphy-brown/the-secret-life-of-jim-dial/episode/35651/summary.html
Episode # 162; or Season #7, episode 11; aired 11/28/94

"The Secret Life of Jim Dial". A series of incidents, while Doris is away, make Jim the subject of a tabloid article and his co-workers begin to doubt the credibility of his side of the story.

No luck finding script.

DVD: Only seems season 1 was released.

That was a great show and should be brought back into reruns. It beats the pants off of some of the other stuff they show lately.

Nick at Nite airs the show. But it is not on until like 200 or 300 in the morning. I remember that episode. Most definitely one my favorite shows. The one where she told Miles she was pregnant and then the actual delivery were hilarious.

Season One is available on DVD. Waiting for Season Two to come out. I love that show.

Thanks, guys! I will keep my fingers crossed that it goes to DVD and I'll keep looking for the script, or at least the quotes. That is such a great episode. We really could use another smart comedy with real issues on TV now. I mean how many "reality" shows and medical/legal dramas can possibly be on at the same time?
