I was considering gettting this game for the Wii but have read some not so great reviews. Of course that is why I came to you all, I trust your comments more than just some strangers. If you own this, do you like it, is it challenging, do you think it is worth the $ that you spent, would you buy it again?

Thanks for any info, not much into just throwing money around if I'm not going to enjoy it and be happy with it.

I don't personally have this, but it has gotten some pretty bad reviews on Amazon.

I'd like to hear what others here would think too...

I have this game and you should listen to the Amazon reviews. ;)

The game is mostly jogging in place and if you are using the balance board, it's nearly impossible to make the game work. I finally gave up and used only the controllers. I also listened to my own MP3 player because I didn't care for the music either. I wish I'd read the reviews before I bought it...

Save yourself the money and the frustration.

Hope this helps. :hippie:

Thanks for the info...I think I've decided to save the $$ and put it elsewhere.

I bought this game when I purchased the wii fit and I wish I would have done my homework first because I enjoy the games on wii fit better than JM. As pp stated a lot of running in place which cannot be done on the balance board. I have heard others here say Myfitness coach is fairly good but I haven't tried it myself so I can't comment. You could always check and see if you can rent a game at Blockbuster first and decide for yourself.

Thanks...I haven't thought about checking into renting those, that is a great way to test them out. Will have to remember that idea.

DW saw this game at Best Buy and said she was getting tired of the Wii fit game so she wanted something new...it wasn't too expensive and it had Jillian's name on it so it had to be great stuff right? lol

Anyway it was total crap and we sold it on amazon a few days later for like $7 or $8 less than what we paid for it...so we figured it wasn't too big of a mistake.

If you want something by Jillian that really kicks your butt...if you have Netflix there are some instant workout videos on there that will give you a GREAT workout. I run consistently, but after doing the workout I was sweating like crazy and laying on the floor exhausted.

We do have Netflix...will check into those. Thanks for the info.

We load them up on our laptop and then hook our laptop up to our HDTV via the HDMI cable...so then we can watch all the instant movies on our TV. Our TiVo and Xbox 360 connection won't load Netflix right so the laptop is our best option. Also there are a ton of other DVD's of hers that you can get. We did the "cardio kickboxing" and although it's not technically "kickboxing" it's a lot of punching and kicking, but not what I imagined a kickboxing video would be. I'll have to check out some others while I'm nursing my ankle injury and can't run.

Do all laptops have the ability to hook up with the cable you referred to? Would love to figure that out for not only the fitness stuff but if we are waiting for the arrival of Netflix but there is something that can play instantly we can wach it on our TV. I'm not much for watching a movie on the laptop or desktop screen.

If you have a newer laptop you should be able to. Mine has an HDMI port where we can take an HDMI cable and hook it straight up to the TV and it does sound and video through one cable. There is also the S-video port which a lot of TV's have and you'd have to run the sound out of the headphone jack. So if you have an HDTV and a newish laptop it's MUCH easier than it used to be.

I'll have to take a look at the laptop and TV, have no idea what that port would look like. Thanks for the info.

I also contemplated about Jillian's program for the Wii and read many poor reviews. I was considering the WiiFit, but did not want to spend that much money at the time. I purchased MyFitnessCoach for the Wii and have been very happy with it. I like that it gives you many workouts options and is a different workout everytime. As one who does not jump up and down and get excited about exercising, MyFitnessCoach has motivated me much more. Here is my review: http://www.expotv.com/videos/reviews/22/191/My-Fitness-Coach/293875 :yay:

I agree - the JM Wii Fit is not good at all. Doesn't work well with your movements and its just plain boring!

Thanks - will look into that...we have the WiiFit but would like something else to have some variety.

I was really looking forward to it coming out and just hate that it didn't get better reviews.

I hate it!! When you build your own workout you can actually get a sweat doing it...especially the squats. But folloing their routine sucks. I cant get it to follow what Im doing and forget the tire thing...my controllers will not work with it. Dont waist your money its awful.
Wii fit hula-hoop is awesome!!

I like wii fit hulu too - I rock at that game -and dang it's a workout - LOL!
