We've always wanted to try Jiko and have made a reservation for our trip in January. We'll be traveling with our then 9 month old daughter. We'll there be any problems having her there? I'm trying to be mindful of other guests trying to enjoy an expensive dinner as well, so we booked the first seating of the night.

I think it should be fine. The only way there would be an issue is if the baby was screaming and you didn't leave/remove the baby. It sounds like you are respectful/mindful of others around you -- so I am sure it won't be a problem. Enjoy your meal - ours was wonderful!

You should have no problems at all and will probably find at least one other family with a little one about the age of your daughter. If I could make a suggestion -bring something for your daughter to eat if she gets hungry. You should be just fine. Go, enjoy and try the creme brulee - it's wonderful.

You shouldn't have any problem at all.

When we take our grandaughters with to the upscale places we just know that if one of them gets restless, one of us leaves the restaurant with them.

I hate the thought that I might need to leave a $40 steak if my child gets unpredicably cranky, but that's me. We held off until I was pretty sure we'd get through a meal without needing a to go box.

We had a bad waiter there when we brought kids. I got the feeling he didn't approve of the kids, but maybe he was just an unpleasant person.

You should have no problems at all. After all, people should understand that it is Walt Disney World. I've seen children of all ages in each restaurant. Enjoy!

As many others have said on this board, "Hey, it's Disneyworld. Of course there will be kids." I do think you are being polite by going early in the evening. We try to dine at 9:00 p.m. or later in the hopes that kiddos will have come and gone. I do get annoyed if someone has a fussy baby in a restaurant at 10 p.m., which was the situation at a table near us last time we were at Jiko. The parents did not remove the baby and it made our dinner miserable. It helps when parents are use good judgment and show courtesy to others, as you are doing.

I would not hesitate to ask to move if there was a very fussy, unhappy baby next to me in a signature restaurant. There are plenty of family friendly restaurants at Disney. When you're spending over $100.00 a couple it's not unreasonable to expect to have a fairly peaceful experience.
