Question- I currently have an ADR for the Yachtsman in September, but I am wondering should I book Jiko instead? We are staying at AKL, and I already have Boma booked for one evening ( we tried it last year and LOVED it), but was thinking maybe Jiko would be nice as well, and maybe I should cancel Yachtsman. Or maybe I just can't be content once I make decisions and constanly have to 2nd guess myself...lol... :rotfl2: Anyway, I was wondering what your opinions would be...tia!! :goodvibes

well-- it's entirely two different experiences. YSH is a Wonderful "steakhouse" meal -- but if you're staying at AKL, I'd go with Jiko - an out of this world 'african' experience (their tenderlion with mac & cheese is to die for)..since you're staying there, I'd proably go with Jiko.

HTH

Jiko is FABULOUS! I just got back, and dined there for my second time. If you do go, and will be there on a Sunday thru Thursday night, I would request Shellie as a server. She's wonderful! (I requested her ahead of time when I made my ADR) :goodvibes

This is a tough one. We eat at Yachtsman Steahouse every since trip and have since they opened in 91. But, we love Jiko, too.

Since you are staying at AKL and eating at Boma, I say try something at another resort .. head to the Yacht Club! :thumbsup2

Since you are staying at AKL you must try Jiko. It is our favorite place to dine in all of WDW. We will be dining there again in October. :)

I'd choose Jiko over YSH any day. The food was good at YSH but the service and attitude was horrible. We've always had great food and great service at Jiko.

Thanks so much to everyone for your opinions! Honestly, still not 100% sure what we are going to do- probably I will swap the reservation. We will be eating at Le Cellier this trip, and Jiko seems much more like an "experience" than another steakhouse meal might be... :confused3 Why do I always tend to overthink everything?? lol...thanks to everyone for your help!!
