We have decided to do one signature dining for our last night. We have narrowed it down to Jiko or Califirnia Grill. Here is the catch: we will be taking our 2 DDs (6 and 3) with us. Other than the obvious (neither because of the girls), which would you choose?

Some facts to consider:

We are staying at AKL
DH and I are very adventurous in our eating (and wines)
DDs are pretty straight forward (both kids menus has multiple faves), but sometimes willing to sample
DH LOVES sushi
I am allergic to seafood (so the only time DH gets to eat it is when we go out!)
We would go early (AR no later than 6:30, probably more like 5:30 to 5:45ish)
It would be nice to see Wishes from the California Grill, but I suspect it will be too late for our DDs to eat dinner to do that
DDs are pretty well behaved (not perfect, but overall good) in nice restaurants due to lots of practice!

Thoughts?????

TIA

Tough choice, they're both soooo good. If you're already at AKL then go to JIKO's. We loved it!!! Hated Boma's, loved JIKO's!!!

Both restaurants are excellent but if you are already at AKL then I would suggest a change of scenery at CG. The view from the top of the CR is magnificent even if you are not there for "Wishes". Your DDs can watch the ferryboats traverse the lagoon and see Cinderella's Castle. Try and request a window table for the best views.
For your sushi-loving DH, CG has one of the premier sushi chefs in the country working there. I have friends that visit CG every vacation strictly for the sushi.
You will find all sorts of families at CG. During our last visit, we were seated next to a family with a toddler and an infant.

We have been to both and all of us (including DS) prefer CA Grill. The view will help keep the little ones entertained. They also have a special "sushi dessert" just for them - rice crispie squares rolled up and served with gummie fish. The "adult sushi" is great too! princess: pirate: :earboy2:

Sad thing is that one will have to be left out---.
My personal preference is Jiko--better food I think, and an excellent wine list.
But that "change of scenery" thing and the Sushi--and CG has a fine wine list too!!
So in YOUR case, sounds like CG is the beter choice.

Thanks everyone! Still not sure. Guess I will have to think on it some more!!

Not a tough choice at all. Definately Jiko. The food is far superior to that of CA Grill. The sushi at CA Grill is nothing spectacular, you can get better in your home town.

Definately Jiko!!!

You couldn't do both?

I would go to CA Grill - not because it's better, but for a change in scenery (and boy, CA Grill has got scenery)!

Thanks for the input everyone. We ultimately decided to try Jiko because of the menu. We just can't find anything close to that type of food here, so WDW is the place to try it!!
