OK we're on the dining plan, have reservations for Boma for me DH and 2 kids 4 & 6. I was thinking of maybe dropping the kids off at the kids club and me and husband having dnr alone. Someone on another board suggested JIKO instead.

What do you think? with or without kids -- which restuarant is better???

Jiko is a signature restaurant with the atmosphere and quality of food and service that reflects it. Boma is a buffet with lots to choose from and is more suitable if you are with the kids (not that Jiko isn't). If you intend to drop the children off and want something a little more intimate, Jiko is the better choice.

I agree that Jiko is the better choice.

One of you should definitely get the filet with mac n' cheese. Sounds silly, but it is AWESOME!!!

Enjoy! :teeth:

I like all of the food at Boma's prefer it to Jiko's. On the other hand a night with just the hubby sounds great! :wizard:

would we need to dress nice? i mean because we'll be coming from AK that day?

Official dress code is "business casual", whatever that is.

Basically no swim suits. No ripped or cut-off clothing. No cheap flip-flops. Shorts and a polo shirt with sandals or tennis shoes is fine.

does anyone know since it is a signature restaurant, being on the dining plan, do i need to leave a cc#??

do you know anything about the kids club in AKL? cost minimum etc??
