OK, since I couldn't get a post on my other question, I'm trying this.....

Of Jiko or Artist Point, which would you prefer??? Why???

I've only done the one TS restaurants and want to try something different or better...
Thanks

That is a hard, hard, hard choice to make.

Jiko is fantastic, the food, service, everything wonderful.

Artist Point is fantastic, the food, service, everything wonderful.

We have a hard time choosing between the two when we go, so we alternate. You can't go wrong with either.

Jiko - No doubt in our minds Jiko is way better that AP. Don't get me wrong AP is nice, but the atmosphere at Jiko along with their excellent wine list and menu is unbelivable. The filet is outstanding the best we have ever had. Their couples menus are wonderful allowing you to sample ever appatizer with an entree and a taste of all the deserts. It's a romantic place for dinner!

I woul;d say Artist Point, the food is great at both, but AP has the edge.

Haven't been to AP, but Jiko is my favorite dining experience on the property. As Tinky624 stated, the wine list is excellent!

We have been in a dining "rut" for several years, with AP being our favorite among our "must do's": AP, CG, HBD, Le Cellier and Teppanyaki. Ate at Jiko for the first time on our last visit - had our most memorable meal ever!

It has moved to the TOP of our priority list for our next trip. :cloud9:

I haven't been to either restaurant yet... but just booked Jiko. Based on coutless good reivews of both I don't think you can go wrong with either place. Food aside, since both are supposedly good and I can def. see things I would love to try at both... I chose Jiko for the atmosphere, something so different than I can find here at home, the special South African wines you can only get here, and the fact that so many of the servers are sommeliers...I want the whole nine yards! :tink:

We were in a silmilar dilemma. But I have decided to go for Jiko because I like te decor more, for our anniversary dinner. :goodvibes

I like Jiko better as well. Plus, if you have a dinner reservation, you can visit the lodge and walk around the back. Unless you're staying there or have a dinner reservation, you can't visit the place.

We did both in May. DH raved about his filet at Jiko. I loved my scallops at AP. For me it would be AP as our meal there was so much more relaxed. At Jiko our entrées came out before we were finished our appetizers... and they just went back into the kitchen to keep on a hot plate and the server kind of shrugged it off. This shouldn't happen in that type of restaurant, especially as it wasn't even fully booked.
At AP we had a great meal, very relaxed plenty of time and attention from the server and the food was also very good.

I would pick Jiko. It is our favorite WDW restaurant. We have had many meals there and they have always been outstanding. We always start withe the Barbecue Chicken Flatbread and then have one of there great entrees. They have a very good wine list also. The AKL lodge is a beautiful place to explore also. :)
