Do you think that it is ok to wear slacks, a polo shirt & sneakers to dinner at Jiko? I hate to wear dresses and I really don't want to bring a pair of shoes that I will use for 1 night only. Between bringing 2 pairs of sneakers and my Teva's, I don't want the weight/space that another pair of shoes will take up.

Thanks everyone!

My vote is do what you like. Disney's website says nothing about shoes. Straight from the Jiko information page:

Dress Attire is Business Casual
Men: Dress slacks, jeans, trousers, or dress shorts, short or long-sleeved shirt with a collar required. Jackets are optional.
Ladies: Jeans, skirts, or dress shorts with blouse or sweater, or a dress required.
Not permitted in dining room: tank tops, swimming suits or swim suit cover ups, t-shirts, hats for gentleman, cut offs, or torn clothing of any kind.

We've worn casual shoes to Jiko twice with no problems -- just adhere to the rest of the code and you will be fine -- and have a great time, the food is delicious!

Interesting! I can wear jeans? I didn't even think of that. :woohoo: Of course, jeans in FL in May.:scratchin

Goofy4Disney and lisah0711 thanks for the support! I may be worrying about this a bit too much.

Both DH and DS wear nice cargo shorts with polo shirts, and sneakers. DD and I wear regular pullovers (t-shirts) that don't have a big ol' Goofy face on them, and Teva sandals.

I can't wait to go back in August!
