We just went to book our dinner reservations for our trip in August. The woman when we were making our reservations mentioned something about the first Thursday of everyone month being part of their Jiko Dinner Series, does anyone know anything about what this is or what it includes/discludes? We're trying to figure out if we still want to reserve a dinner ther that night, I am leaning towards yes, but I would like to know what it is.

I've been to this twice. I will be at another one on May 4th. It takes a long time and you're served unusual specialty dishes prepared by the Jiko chefs paired with wines introduced by a visiting winery representative.

I will try to find some of the menus to post but I think they might all be on my dead computer.

So would you say it is worth it, even if Hubby and I are not big wine drinkers? It is for night 1 of our 5th aniversery dinners (we had two wedding we get two aniversery dinners) and it is just the two of us so a long dinner isn't a problem at all.

Quick edit: Hubby can't eat meat, he can eat Fish and veggie foods, but meat is completely out for him, do you think that would be a problem with doing the dinner series?

I think it's worth it. You can just taste the wine. If you call to reserve it, tell them your husband does not eat meat and they'll fix something for him to replace the meat courses. I have a friend who does this.
