Jiko Dinner Length

For anyone who has dined at Jiko - How long should we expect dinner to take for 2 people? I've got a 6pm reservation right now, but then realized fireworks at MK that we wanted to see were at 8pm (they are apparently earlier in the winter). Am I correct in thinking that dinner may feel rushed if we want to make that timing?

I tend to leave 2 hours for dinner at Jiko. I think you might find your timing a bit rushed. Maybe consider eating at Narcooses instead?

Even if your dinner lasted only an hour ( no pre dinner drinks, no appetiser, no dessert, no coffee) you'd still be hard pressed to get there in time unless you took a taxi to the CR and ran to the MK. Pick one or the other to do.

Agree with @minnie mum, that this timing just isn't doable. Dinner at Jiko is typically a 2-hour event, but can be speeded up a bit. Still I wouldn't expect to get out of there in an hour. Then you have to get all the way from AKL to the MK which is pretty much the furthest apart you can get on WDW property.

I wouldn't rush Jiko. The service has always been excellent every time we have gone. The waiters tend to go into detail about the menu items and usually will talk to you for a while if it's not too busy.

I'd plan on at least 90 minutes and planning wishes for another day and perhaps doing one of the great MK area signatures

I'll just chime in and say the one and only time I ate at Jiko as a party of 2, from seating to bill was 45 minutes and we had 3 courses. So it might not be the leisurely meal one might expect.
