I see pix of Jiko's tables all lined up like you would almost be at the same table as strangers. Is the whole restaurant that way or do they have other areas? We like to be separate and prefer a wall or window because it is easier to hear. How is the noise level? Thanks.

IMHO, the seating is nowhere near as crowded as some other restaurants (think L'Originale Alfredo di Roma), and the noise level wasn't bad at all.

The first time we ate there it was DH, me and 2 DD's. We got an oversized booth table. The girls loved it. Plenty of space. Did not feel like we were in someone else's way or vice versa. Last time, kiddos went to kids club, DH and I enjoyed dining at a regular table...kind of above where I believe you are talking about. We did not have a problem with noise level and really enjoy this restaurant. Will be going back on our next trip. Excellent food & wine. Enjoy.

We've never found Jiko to be noisy or felt crowded. Even when we had a table down by the windows with no physical barriers between us and the next table I didn't feel like we were "eating with the neighbors"

I have to one of the most personal space and noise consious people in the world and I was just fine at Jiko. I have been there several times and assure you it must be the angle of the pic. The tables have a nice amount of room between them. The noise level is very good.

The seats by the window have a nice view. They would be your best bet.

Funny thing the poster above mention Alfredo's. It's one of the few places at WDW I will not go back. The tables are absolutely crammed together.

Add me to the "it's not crowded at all" group. Certainly nothing like the Epcot restaurants.

There is an area where we were seated in December that felt rather close to the other tables to me. I think think is the area that must be in the picture you are talking about. It is one long seating area with tables set up in a row. We were at the middle table with 2 couples sitting on each side of us. It was a bit close and there was another table actually seated right above our heads. If this would bother you, just request to sit somewhere else. This is just a small area of the restaurant.

I have never noticed the tables to be appreciably closer than at other fine dining restaurants. You will not feel as if you personal space is being invaded.

As for the noise level, it is not loud at all. It is a high end restaurant and, although there will be children there (it is WDW after all), people conduct themselves accordingly.

I think this restaurant is spaced out very nicely. We've sat by the window, in the upper level and also near one of the large poles in the back right side of the restaurant. I've loved every seat we've had. Very spacious, no loud noises or reverberations from noise or music. Very relaxing and serene with amazing food.
