Jiko at AKL - Good for The Non Adventurous?

I'd like to try Jiko's at the AKL. I'm not a very adventurous eater, lol. I've looked at the menu and there are some things that SOUND like they are more on the normal side. (The filet, for instance.) Is that just a regular filet (beef), lol? DH will try anything and I think this would be a great restaurant to try out, but it's also very pricey and I don't want to spend lots of money on food that I won't like.

Any thoughts? thanks!

Yes I would say that you would be very happy eating at Jiko's. On our last visit my wife had the filet and just loved it. The macaroni & cheese that comes with the filet is just out of this world it's the best my wife had ever had. This is one of our favorite restaurants at WDW. Make sure you try one of the flatbreads for starters.

I agree! Had the filet on our last trip. It was the best I ever had anywhere. It sounded "weird" that it came with mac 'n cheese, but trust me, it worked! If you like filet mignon, don't be afraid to order it at JIKO.

Yes, by all means try Jikos, you'll love it. We ate there last year and it was by far our best meal. My DH had a pork chop (nothing *weird* here) and still claims that it was the best pork chop he ever had!. The flat bread was very good.
