JFK Airtrain

We are flying out of JFK next month, which is a first for us. After much research, I plan on parking in long-term parking and taking the Airtrain to the terminal. Does anyone know approximately hpw long it takes to get from the long-term lot to Terminal 5 (Jetblue), and how long does the return trip take?

The AirTrain at JFK runs about every 10 minutes, with about 2 minutes between stops. Terminal 5 is either 4 or 5 stops away from long-term parking (depending on where you park in long-term parking), so plan on between 20-25 minutes to get from the parking station to the terminal.

The return trip is 5 or 6 stops to long-term parking, so just a bit more time.
