JFK airport question

I am thinking about using Delta for our trip from Nova Scotia to Orlando. The plane change occurs at JFK. We have an hour. Is this airport easy to get around and is an hour sufficient?

I just got back Tuesday, and flew Delta. We had a 55 min connection in JFK, with a baby and pre-schooler. I have flown this route before, and never had a problem. All Delta flights should be a short walk, even though we came in on a very small plane, and connected to a larger one, we were still waiting 45 minutes before they started boarding (if you are on the 6:10 flight, it usually gets in early).

We got the 7:30-4:01 flight and was one gate away from the second flight. Great flights both way. Have fun!
