Jewelry cleaner

What do you use to clean your jewelry? I bought a jewelry cleaner but it doesn't do a very good job. Someone told me to use toothpaste to clean a diamond but I never tried it. Anyone else ever heard of that??? Sounded a bit strange to me.

There are recipes on the internet for jewelry cleaner. You mix ammonia, water & maybe something else.

Here's a recipe site that cautions against toothpaste.

i bought the jar from helzberg jewelry...works great for me...

I have used toothpaste for cleaning jewelry and it works great!

Also have used rubbing alcohol and my mom always uses diluted ammonia.

Someone told me that soaking diamonds in vodka makes them brilliant. (Was it MackeyMouse?)

I just run over to my jeweler and let them put them in their machine, there's no charge and they are always so pretty afterwards.
