Okay, I have already purchased our flight to Orlando. I held off on the return (12/17/07) hoping for a cheaper rate. When I booked our flight down, the return was $99. I should have booked then :headache: . The flight went up to $119, then $139, then $164!!! It is now back down to $139 and I have a $60 credit, which would bring the price down to $119.

SHOULD I GRAB IT NOW?

If I don't, my biggest fear is the flight I want filling up. It's a NS leaving Orlando at 5:20pm.

Or...will the price continue to fall? Or, if I wait until the 18th, the same flight is already $119, but it would cost another $200 or more for another night in the resort.

I don't know what to do...

Is there a trend with JetBlue? If I am patient, will the price come down again? I don't mind buying now and having the credit, it's just that I am not sure if we would be able to use before the expiration. Sigh.

What to do.....

Hi,

Waiting for airfare is like playing the stock market! Sometimes you look really smart by waiting, and sometimes, well...not so smart. Sometimes the price will go up, and sometimes it will go down.

Are you a gambler? My opinion is: if you are comfortable with the price now you should book it.

I have trouble making the decison to buy, too.
I would book it. I think the price will only go up now.
Besides tourists, think of all the people who will be looking for flights on that day from Orlando- college students, people who are going home for the holidays( retireds who now live in FL). Some schools and colleges get out around that time.

Yes by all means grab it while you can, I booked that same return flight for my date and when I did it a couple months ago it was 99 it is not 225 for the same flight. if you book it and it goes down just call and get the credit for future use but I suspect it will just go up.

Thanks everyone. I just booked it. I am not thrilled with the price, but the plane was pretty full (we are in row 18! vs. row 8 on the trip down), so I am glad I didn't wait any longer. My total for the round trip for 3 of us is $686.40 or $228.80 per person. Not great, not horrific...

I was watching for our return flight from FLL on 12/13 with JB and finally booked it about a month ago at $114 since I was worried it would go up instead of down. Since then it's gone back and forth between $99 and $114 a couple of times now but I think you were smart to book now and at least if it drops to $99 you can get a credit for future travel.

I would grab it! JetBlue offers the only direct flight from SYR to MCO and back, so that flight is in high demand. I see that 12/17 is a Monday. I'd be worried that that flight will fill up with people coming back from weekend getaways.

BTW, great weather today for Trick or Treating, huh?

Coming from the NE, in December, for non-stop flights, I'd be happy with that price. I would have booked it too.

Wow, I really feel better about it now. Thanks, everyone!

And yes, beautiful weather!! The kids don't have to wear parkas over their costumes for once, lol. I am kinda between Cooperstown and Oneonta, if you know either of those places. Very nice today.

I sure do! My husband, younger son and friend from out of town just visited the Baseball Hall of Fame (but more importantly the Ommegang Brewery) this summer.

It's a small world after all.... ;)

Well, now I have to plan another vacation! (Like I really needed a reason...) That return flight just went from the $139 I booked at, down to $99. I now have a $120 credit.

Check your flights. Wednesdays seem to be the days!
