JetBlue Sound System ?

About to take my first JetBlue flight, and wondering how the sound system works on the TV's.

Do I bring my own headphones, or do I have to use special only-work-on-a-plane headphones?

Is there a volume control?

Are there music stations to listen to, or just the TV channels?

They supply the headphones....you grab a pair right before you board the plane (they are all sealed in individual bags). Yes, there is volume control...it is located on the armrest of the seat along with the channel buttons. I don't think there are specific radio stations.....although there might be a music TV station available.

I always bring my own headphones. And yes, there is a volume control. Can't remember about the music channels though...I tend to confuse my thoughts between JB and Song...Song has several different music genre's available. But I can't remember if JB has the same thing.

We flew out of JFK on JetBlue. There were 2 kinds of headphones to choose from. At the gate in the waiting area there was a box with headphones in sealed bags that you could purchase for $1.00 on the honor system (put in your dollar, open the box and help yourself). These were the type that are small and go in your ear (like the ones that come with IPods) or you are able to get a pair for free on board from a flight attendant. They were the older kind with the foam padding that go over your ear. It's your choice, or you can bring your own.

The headphones offered by JetBlue are horrible.

I suggest that you bring your own (noise cancelling are the best if you have some).

They have a regular head phone plug in the seats.
