Jetblue same day change question

Booked with Jetblue and before I get on the phone to ask them figured I would ask here We currently have our r/t flights booked and was interested in changing our departing flight to the earlier one out. There are only 2 flights leaving BDL on Jetblue going and coming home. How much to make the change? $100.00? $40.00??? Guess I should have thought it out before I made the initial purchase Thanks in advance

I am pretty sure it is a 100 dollar charge and the only way not to have to pay this is if they change the flight time. May not be worth it.

For non-refundable fares less than $99 the change fee is $50, for $99 or more the fee is $100. Plus any difference in fare.

That stinks wish it wasn't that high...oh well our flight arrives at MCO at 5:58pm...the other flight that days arrives at 11:30 am. Live n Learn

Cities with Multiple Flights a Day

* You can make your confirmed same day changes via 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583) or at the airport beginning at midnight (in the time zone of the departing flight) of the same calendar day as your original scheduled flight.
* You must travel on an earlier or later flight the same-day.
* You must travel between the same city pairs.
* A Same-Day Change Fee of $40 per person will be applied for your confirmed seat.

Cities with One Flight a Day The same-day change program is not available for cities with one flight a day.

CaFeeney, thanks for that info! I haven't checked the website yet, but remember from some post before about it once being $100., and now its $40. that's why I was entertaining the thought of switching I am going to give a call in the morning

Calling in the morning won't help - unless you're departing this day (September 29, 2010).

To change your flight any time in advance is $50 for fares under $100, and $100 for fares above that amount - as skelooch states. "Same Day Flight Change" means literally that - that you're changing your flight the day OF your flight.

Kaytieeldr is correct. If you want to change to the earlier flight and just pay the $40 per person fee, it needs to be done the same day as travel. If you try to change it in advance, the higher fees will be charged. You can call anytime after midnight the day you are leaving to make the change. If there are seats available on the ealier flight, Jetblue will confirm seats for $40 per person. We have done this before when going home from Disney. Booking a late flight seemed like a good idea at the time, but I realized that morning that we'd be getting home way too late. So I called Jetblue, got us on an earlier flight, and was charged $40 per person to make the change.
