I found flights from Syrcause to Orlando for $98 each way. For 5 of us, total comes to $979 USD. Originally was planning to fly from Ottawa but with over $1000 in price difference, have to do JetBlue! How long in advance should we be at the airport for? Our flights would be leaving around 3 p.m., returning to Syracuse around the same time, so we have plenty of time to drive from Ottawa to Syracuse and vice versa without renting a room. Then when factoring in cost of parking (from what I can tell on the website, about $10/night x 8 nights = $80), we might be better renting a hotel room pre-flight and taking advantage of their free parking and shuttle. Advice? Anything else I should know about JetBlue?

Thats a great rate. I'm flying from Boston to MCO for $110 each way. But its non stop so it will be a 2 1/2 hour flight! HAPPY DANCE!

The main thing I can say about JetBlue is its like flying first class on other airlines. They are friendly, the planes are clean, TV at each chair, free unlimited snacks and they don't change your preassigned seats! Also there is the one free bag per traveler which is a savings.

I try to ONLY fly JetBlue however their prices don't always allow for that. Luckily I scored some great fares for our August trip!

If you can fly JetBlue - I would. The true savings will be on your nerves!

Yes these flights are direct as well. I'm so excited!!! :cool1:
Thanks for the info - we can't wait!

don't forget to bring your headphones for the TVs :music: (they sell them for $2 a piece at the gate/on the flight, but I always like to have my own)

Lucky you! That is a great rate and Jet Blue is a great airline! They are my favorite. One free checked bag per person, comfy seats, tvs in the back of the seats. I would use them all the time if I could.

Jetblue rocks. We fly it out of Newark and have no hassles at all.

I'm from Ottawa as well and found a similar rate which convinced us to go to Disney in December. Just couldn't pass that rate up, we really had no intentions of going this year as we just had our first trip this past November using JetBlue. As far as paying for parking or using a hotel shuttle, I would just pay for parking. It'll be cheaper than a hotel and when you return you can go directly to your car without having to wait for a shuttle. Enjoy your trip, when are you going?

The plan is Jan. 27 - Feb. 4, first timers! 2 families of 5.

We got our JetBlue flights for $94/each way to MCO to/from Newark, NJ for Sept. We love JetBlue and always fly with them.

You may also want to watch for even further price reductions, because JetBlue does issue credits if you call. Our final price, after credits, was $80 each way for SYR to MCO this past January. The credits aren't cash, but they're good for one year from your original purchase.

:lmao:

JetBlue is fine, but flying them is not quite like flying first class on other airlines!

Just like all airlines, they cannot guarantee that your seat assignment will not change. It happens all the time.

A fellow DISer recommended the website Yapta.com to track price changes. I put my flight info in and it emailed me when the price dropped on my October flights. I got credited $180 to my JetBlue travel bank for a future flight :)
