JetBlue- Live person over 3 hours? Chat 2.5+ hours?

This is how long I have been on hold. I also put in for a callback 3 hours ago- nothing. I do realize that there was a blizzard and am sympathetic to staffing issues.

I'm not complaining but just wondering if this is usual for JetBlue
these days.

Today, I added a suitcase to my travel plans on JetBlue. I then received a message telling me that my suitcase was $180 for one and my "new fare" is now $1,460 to Florida for one person when it was $412 RT.
I thought it was painful that they have changed my flight 4 times in 2 months, but this latest situation needs to be cleared up and hopefully today.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.
 
On a Sunday, during a pandemic that has short staffed most every business and during a blizzard. I'm guessing that you're actually doing pretty good all things considered. Maybe wait till Monday.
 
Ugh! Sorry OP, so frustrating. Hopefully you ll get the callback. That’s what I did about a week ago. It was like an hour or so.
hope u get ur situation resolved to ur satisfaction. They were so nice and helped me with a bit of a situation. Maybe they ll call or wait till tomorrow morning?? Good Luck.
 
I fully understand the pandemic and the blizzard as I said. The only reason I was checking on the typical wait is because of the concerning extra charges and hoping to get them straightened out as soon as was reasonable. I thought if several hours is typical on non-blizzard days, then I would just hang on.

Good news- at the 3.5 hour mark, the agent from the call center(she called it that) answered and she was the most lovely person. I did apologize for taking her time during a blizzard. She said that they are staffed normally today for a Sunday at where she was working from. The agent also said that off times and early and late on weekend days can be the best times to get through to a live person.

The overcharges will take 7-10 days to come off my card but she assured me that the refund is already in progress.
