Just booked our February trip. About $300 higher than average for the three of us, but we got what we needed! Now the countdown to 180 dinner reservations :)

I am so bummed. We booked delta figuring we couldn't get a better deal into ft. Myers. And we booked into Tampa with a 2 hour drive. JB is $5 more and direct into ft. Myers then our non direct into Tampa. Oh well there is always April 2016 and delta will make us that closer to getting to Hawaii again for free.

We booked too!:cool1: Have to change my ticker because we decided to do California instead of DCL. Got $199 each way NYC to LAX for our April break week. Hope that was a good price:confused3.

One weird thing though, in the process of looking everything over in my TrueBlue account, I ended up seeing that it says our return flight for October was cancelled:scared1:. The flight is still available to book so I hope it's a weird glitch. DH is on hold with JB right now to check. Wait times are long. Hope we are set, nervous about that one.

Got on at noon yesterday. Looked at prices but wanted to discuss first. Got on thru out the aftn/evening....then this morning just now. Prices have gone up FOUR TIMES!!

We have NEVER experienced prices going up like that. We have always booked on the same day or next few days that they are published.

I'm in shock!! :sad2:

And......

JUST tried to book online. Put all info in....booked seats, then it came up with, "oops....please select another flight."

Showed same flights, but with higher prices!!! Called Jetblue.....they said "someone else must have pressed the confirm button faster than you. sorry."

WHAAAAAT??? We fly Jetblue 2X a year!!! Soooooo disappointed!!!

Goodbye JETBLUE!!

We have NEVER experienced prices going up like that.

Something similar happened to me, but not as drastic as you, but still....
I only had enough points for 2 of us, so I changed our number of people from 4 to 2 (price was still the same either way) and used my points. Then I immediately went back to purchase for the other 2 people and the price had jumped up from 159 to 210. I was so disappointed -- the plane is empty, only 2 seats were booked besides mine. I almost think when they get a booking, the price automatically jumps up. I am going to check diligently everyday until next spring and call for a credit when the prices go down, which they normally always do for my flights at least.

Just remember guys if you book and later see the flight prices have gone down just call Jetblue. They will put the extra back into a travel bank. It works for us because we fly Jetblue probably 20 times a year so we will use the credits to book weekend get a ways and such.

Crazy!! JUST checked again and now the flight TO Orlando went from $147 to $339 (in a matter of minutes)!! :confused3. Not sure what's going on at Jetblue. Although I know I can purchase now and get a credit.....I just don't get it. I've never seen this before. :sad1:

If it were a couple hundred dollars difference I guess I'd say sure, keep it as credit for my next trip down (to use within a year of course). But I just can't see having a $800.00 credit. Our flights went from $900 to $1700 in less than 24 hours. :confused3

Like i said we fly Jetblue a lot. An $800 credit (it is just me and the boy friend) we could go to my grandparent's house in Texas for the weekend or go visit his parents in Florida or our friends in Orlando.

From my understanding Jetblue still books on the bucket scale. So many seats are priced at x and then the next set are priced at y and the final set is priced at z. If they get to a certain point and all the y seats haven't been booked they will go back down to x but not often will it go lower unless they are running a promotion.

We looked but opted not to book and to drive instead. Although I do not love the drive from Massachusetts, have done it many times and it is do-able for us and so much less expensive that it is worth it. Unless we change our times to away from school vacations we will just make the drive...

No offense but it's only less expensive if you put no value on your time. Did the drive from MA once. That was enough.

for those of you with large groups, keep in mind that jet blue charges more for large groups vs smaller ones
example from last night...
1 group of 7 traveling spring break week - $900 each
1 group of 4 and one group of 3 traveling the exact same days and flights - $700 each
you are paying $200/pp for 1 reservation vs 2

EDIT right now today the difference is $71/pp
much cheaper then last night but still adds up for 7 people
EDIT 2 just called JB to ask about booking for over 7 since you can't do it online and the price for 10 was 898.79 each
so almost the exact same as 7 last night

Well so those Easter flights I booked yesterday that jumped to 210 went back down again today to 159. I checked seating and there are still only 2 other seats sold besides ours. Anyway, I called and got a $102 credit. I do wish we could do this online like on southwest.com, but I'm happy they at least give credits.

Wow

Out of Burlington VT it is so expensive for us in April. The cheapest is weekday at 223.00 for early morning flight. We have a toddler so want to avoid that. I don't think we will ever return to flights below 200.00 again. We could fly to Germany to visit family for just a little more. Crazy!

If we didn't do this just once a year I would NEVER pay what I pay for flights, but to hop on a plane in Syracuse and be in Orlando 3 hours later...truly priceless. I could NEVER do that drive!

I can remember paying $49.00 one way!! :rotfl:

Agreed! I could never do that drive either (especially with our autistic son.....no thanks)!

Been watching Jetblue flights over the last 36 hours......UNBELIEVABLE!!
I have never seen such price variances!! From $147 to $350+ back to $200ish???? They have gone insane! :confused3

When I was a kid we always drove and my parents made it a lot of fun! The times I've driven with my kids I've tried to do the same, and I guess it worked because they are on board with however we get there! For anywhere between $1200 to $2000 more to fly vs driving, yes time is money but that's a lot of Mickey ice cream bars! LOL! We'll see... haven't totally decided on when to actually go. My DS's are in many activities and it's a puzzle to plan a time that works! :)

Wow, it's $800 pp from Boston for April school vacation week now. Do you think they'll drop the price at all or add more flights?
