Jetblue Getaways - Linking hotel reservation to MDE

I recently booked a vacation package on Jetblue Getaways and we are staying at one of the Disney Resorts. I had 2 questions, will we still be getting the MagicBands even though we booked through Jetblue? And will I be able to link a hotel reservation on MDE if I didn't book through Disney directly? The itinerary email that was sent to me doesn't have a specific hotel confirmation that I could use.

Getting Magic Bands is dependent on staying on property, not how you book.

To link your reservation to MDE, you will need the get the Disney Reservation number. It is a 12 digit number that starts with a 4. You should be able to get JetBlue to provide it. Worst case would be that you could call Disney Central Reservations and have the agent look up your reservation by searching for you name based on the dates of your travel.

The Magic Band question was 99.99% answered by Robo, note you might not get them until you arrive at your Disney resort in a worst case situation.

Just make sure to the Disney Confirmation number and link it to your MDE and you should be able to customize your Magic Bands and have them shipped to you. This assumes that you are in the US or a location where Disney will ship them. Make sure that your reservation is linked in MDE and then you should see the option to customize your Magic Bands.

How far away is your vacation as this affects that ability for Disney to customize your Magic Bands and ship them to you?

We will be traveling the last week in August.

I've always booked through Disney directly, but I thought that people using other services like Hotels.com had issues linking their reservations to MDE because they didn't have a proper confirmation number. They ended up getting grey magicbands at the hotel itself but couldn't book FP+ until 30 days and didn't get 180+10 rights. Maybe things changed or that was a bad experience, but it's kept me from using another service.

I ended up calling JetBlue and they said they usually get the confirmation number from Disney 4-7 days after you book a Getaways package. She checked and mine was there. But the only issue was I booked 2 rooms under the same package and she only gave me one confirmation number. So when I went to link it on MDE it only showed half my party, resulting in me having to call back and get the second number. I'm now able to customize my magic bands and link tickets!
