Tried to search but couldn't find anything. Anyway...

I'm booked at Sports Aug 8-14 through JetBlue Getaways. Got a really great rate, but only booked the RT flights and stay at Sports. Did not buy park tix or DDP add-on.

Question:

Can I add DDP to my reservation later on? If so, would I contact JetBlue or contact Disney directly?

Thanks!

Sorry, the DDP can only be a part of a Disney Vacation pkg booked through Disney or Disney Approved TAs like AAA. I don't think JetBlue Getaways applies.

You'd have to contact Jet Blue, but what you have there looks like a room-only third party reservation. You can add a dining plan only if you can also add tickets and covert the resort part of the reservation into a package - a Disney package, not a Jet Blue package.

I do hear that the package reservations you book through Southwest Airlines are Disney packages and guests may be able to buy tickets and dining plan through those (just because I saw that posted a couple of times - apparently because Southwest acts as a travel agent and not a third party reseller) but you'd have to check with Jet Blue, and even then there is the possibilty that they might have to cancel your resort booking to turn it into a package - this is something they should be able to do if they are acting as a travel agent and not a reseller. And you would have to buy tickets as part of that package.

If you're really interested in converting to a package if you do have that opportunity, you should call JetBlue and find out no later than 3 days before your arrival date. I'd do it sooner, just to find out what the options might be.

I know for a fact that you can with Southwest because I just booked it for us last month and we are heading out there tomorrow! It was definitely a package deal where you pick the hotel and then can add on the park tickets, dining plan and anything else that is available.

Thank you for your insight! I should note that JetBlue did offer a DDP add-on when I booked; I just chose not to buy the plan at the time. Not sure if I made that clear.

Disney won't sell the dining plan without the tickets (there are a few exceptions, annual passholders and military when booking packages, and DVC members) so you will likely have to add those as well.

It appears that JetBlue will be acting as your travel agent. That would mean Disney will consider them, and not you, the owner of that reservation. If you want to make changes, you'll need to go through JetBlue.
