We're scheduled to fly JetBlue next week from Newark to Orlando and back again later in the week. Have been looking at the flight status for the past few days and have noticed that the afternoon northbound flights leaving Orlando seem to be delayed (some by a few hours) for the past few days.

Has anyone been on any of these flights and/or have heard any reason why these delays are occuring???

Thanks!

Afternoon flights to/from Orlando in the "rainy season" are almost always delayed due to afternoon thunderstaorms.

Compound that with the awful weather in the northeast the last few days and you are sure to have delays. Remember, if an 8:AM flight is delayed that has a domino effect on flights the rest of the day. That's why we always like to fly early in the morning.

If there are weather delays at Newark, that will lead to weather delays in Orlando, which will lead to more weather delays in Newark, etc.

I'm sure if you checked any airline between the northeast and anywhere the last three or four days you'll see a whole bunch of delays!

Anytime there is rain in the area of Newark Airport, there are delays.......since the weather has been miserable here the last few days, I would say that has been the reasons for the delays.

I always fly Jet Blue out of JFK and there is hardly ever delays, only once when there was pretty big snowstorm was I delayed on Jet Blue.
