JetBlue changing flight times

Our Jetblue flights for October have already been changed. The time coming back is about an hour earlier, time going to MCO is only 15 minutes later. Also our seats were changed on the flight coming back. There are 11 of us including 6 kids so seat selection is important. I am a single so my seat was changed. I just changed it myself to be with family again. I will say I have had Jetblue flight times changed by 15 minutes in the past but no seat changes. It seems to be the new norm for Jetblue.

I've was worried about Jetblue after I saw the WSJ article listing them as the worst-rated airline for 2021 mainly bc of delays. But I have to give them fair credit - over the holidays and huge schedule disruptions due to staffing across the airline industry, I called them bc I didn't like the rescheduled flight they gave me back to HPN from MCO, and they gave me a flight to EWR as I asked.

Also, in March, they reassigned me to a new flight on a larger plane and moved us to an Even More Space seat row for some reason. Luck, but cheered me up. Outbound flight was on time and return was delayed due to weather as were many other airlines that day. So overall I'm sticking with them bc they have the best domestic coach seats, free WIFI, and frequent service to/from NYC and Florida.

I just canceled our Southwest flights for August and rebooked with JetBlue. Southwest added a layover on top of totally changing out flight times - the layover doubling our travel time which I didn't want to handle with two small kids. And they didn't have any other direct flight soooo.....changed airports and airlines. Keeping fingers crossed.

I had my EWR to MCO flight in July moved to one that left later in the day. Went to online chat with the obligatory 2 hour wait only to have an agent tell me I'd have to pay since it wasn't a 60 minute change.... heck, yes, it was... 64 minutes! The timing was important to me since I have a scooter rental and they stop delivering at 7 PM and that one hour at that point could make a difference. After some machinations of I don't know what in the background, she moved me to an earlier flight. With all the issues JB has been having, I'm nervous about my return flight MCO to EWR being changed now! :headache:

I haven't booked yet but I've been periodically looking at a nonstop JetBlue flight that I might book for this summer. At first it was departing at 1:29 pm. Then 8:25 am. Now 10:10 am.

It was bad in the days leading up to and during our trip in September 2021.

Original departure time was 7 am. Changed to 9:05 am then back to 7 am week before and thankfully stayed there.

Return flight home was supposed to be 1:30 pm. They changed it to 11 am, then 10:30 am then 10:15 where it stayed. The last two time changes were during our stay so we had to rearrange trattoria al Forno breakfast reservations we had (thankfully the CMs there arranged it for earlier in our trip)

From what i have seen with JB over the last few years if you book the early morning flights or later after noon flighs you are OK there may be small time changes if you booked in between flights expect to end up on one of those flights anyway..... Although last year they moved our flight time to an earlier flight cancelled the flight time we were supposed to on a few months before they added the flight time we were supposed to take back as a new flight and one of our bags ended up on the the flight time they added -- they knew the bag and many others as well was on the that flight but said nothing..... had to wait and wait go fill out a claim form they told us we could wait - it was arriving around 1:30 or about after this one if i recall correct- or they would deliver it to us a few hours after it landed.... 1:30 AM we got the bag (yes AM) that PISSED me off.... Done with JB after that and a few prior experiences. I am moving to whichever airline has the most flights but we are lucky we are a United hub and I know they are cutting as well but not booking a 10;30 AM flight and ending up on a 5:45AM flight and luggage who knows when..........

They changed both our flight times in October but not too bad. 15 minutes later leaving Boston and 45 minutes later leaving MCO.

we're flying Sunday May 29th out of BOS at 6am. Yesterday JB canceled that 6am flight. Hoping for no problems in less than 4 weeks. If they are going to dump that flight I hope I get enough notice so we can go the night before instead. I booked the 6am thinking it would be more likely not to get canceled. I understand why they are doing it, I just don't want to have to take the 10:30am flight instead. :rotfl:
