JetBlue change question

Quick background…I purchased flights with expiring credits from a group sale in hopes that the flight would get changed. Well…5 months later I just got the email that my flight has been changed. They give me 3 choices. Confirm. Change. Cancel. It states under cancel “ cancel and receive a jetBlue credit for future travel.“

Question…I would love to cancel and use the credits for a different flight at another time. Does anyone have any clue as to possibly how long out i might have to use this? And can this be done with “group travel funds”?

That's a good question. My understanding is that travel bank credits revert to their original expiration date if you cancel a flight. But I'm not sure how JB handles it if the cancellation is because they changed your flight and it doesn't work for you. I know that on-hold times right now are tough, but probably worth a call - I've found their phone agents to be very helpful in these situations. They also reply to Twitter and Facebook messages. You can also contact them via chat through their website or app. Wait times are long (I waited 2 1/2 hours today to connect someone) but at least I was able to multi task and go about my regular routine while waiting to connect.

I messaged them through Facebook messenger and had my issue resolved in 4 hours.First response was in about 90 minutes.

I used Messenger to get in touch with JetBlue. Went quicker than I thought. They will allow me to cancel the flight and rebook with the credit/points by September 22, 2022.
