JetBlue carry on question

Hubby and I are flying JetBlue next week and we have each paid for one checked bag. I have a few concerns about our choices for carry on bags. He will have to take his CPap machine plus a backpack with his meds and diabetic supplies. I had hoped to take a Vera Bradley small duffle bag plus a backpack with a few things. Will this be to JetBlue's carry on specifications or will the Vera bag be too much? We have always flown SW and never had a problem, just don't want to get to the airport and have to pay for an additional bag. Any responses will be appreciated.

There should be no problem with the CPAP machine. If you have it in a designated bag (usually the size of a lunch bag give or take). It wouldn't count towards your carry on allowance. Which is one carry on and one personal item per person.

Medical supplies don't count towards carryon allowance (on US airlines, at least).

Does the duffle meet the guidelines in terms of size to go overhead? Then it'll be fine.

Just don't over stuff your duffel. I've taken my Disney Vera on Jetblue several times. If they check it for fit it will before you enter security so as long as it shoves in the biggest box of the test you'll be fine. I've only had them actually check when I had a hard shell carry on. Although the test showed it wouldn't fit, it has indeed fit (and in wheels first) on every Jetblue flight I have ever taken.

You can have a medical bag come free. Just do not put anything nonmedical in the bag. So have a medical and nonmedical bag
