how far in advance do these airlines book flights? we are traveling in April when can I begin looking for flights? thank you

Hi-- on the Southwest website now, it says it will open on June 30th for flights through March 8, 2016. I don't know how frequently they open these windows, but your April window would be the next one (July?).

Re: JetBlue we made our flight reservations nearly 1 year in advance for a flight in Sep 2013

Most airlines--333 days in advance; JetBlue is whenever they release the new dates. I'm waiting to book my April flight to DL. Personally, I perfer JetBlue and want to see their fares before booking.

We booked jetblue last August for a March flight... we're looking to fly them again next March. Have always had a great experience with them. When I check a couple week ago, they were booking until January.

Just curious where on the site you saw this? Thanks!

We booked our flights within a couple weeks of when they opened up for our trip earlier this month. I think we bought them in November so about 6 months out.

If you sign up for JetBlue emails or a TruBlue account they will email when new schedules open up.

Unless you're booking over a holiday, the best time to purchase tickets is 3 months before the flight, the price is generally cheapest
