JET BLUE...

oh this is going to be a lot harder than my usual SWA bookings.... I need some specific dates on this trip (not FL) and JB is my best option..... So general feeling is DON'T book the first day they come out?

I don’t book first day, because I fly every few months and I know a good rate for my route. However, you should book if you’re happy with the price. I usually wait about 2 months before. I liked jetblue better when you could adjust your fare and get a credit. Now you can only do that within 14 days of buying.

I never buy on release day, but always curious of the new times. We haven’t bought our September tickets yet. We will be watching the November flight too.

IS it like SWA on the first day? What's the best plan, to wait a day or two to book,or try that first day? do prices change? I've found that SWA can be high on the opening date, but since they're easy to change it's not a big deal. With JB I'm more concerned about pricing

Don't forget you can usually mock book a JetBlue Vacation the day before a release to find out prices and times for the flights.

For the days that we tend to fly to MCO and back (Fri down and Sun back) for our route Bos-MCO, I have almost always found them cheapest the day the release the new flights. Only time I found them to be less was when I changed up and flew down on a Thur and back on a Monday out of PVD and the flights dropped from $500 R/T to $250 R/T pp. But the BOS-MCO flights stayed the same price the entire time

They give you a credit for adjusting? but they also charge a large fee for changes too, right?

I just tried to mock book a JB vacation for our dates in Dec, and got a message that there were no flights available. Maybe it's too early.

Last time we got flights for under $100 each way a couple of months before. I have no idea what the lowest rates for this route usually are, but we usually end up paying around $250 RT and I'm really hoping not to pay that much for this trip.

Yes, if your price drops within 14 days of booking, you can call and they will give you a credit in your account. Travel bank credit. You have 1 year to use the credit from the day you receive it. You can use it for a flight outside the 1 year window and you can use it for any passenger.

After the 14 days, then there are fees.

Might be to early, I just tried too and it didn't work.

Kayak is listing Jet Blue prices, but when you try to book it says flights not available. If Kayak pricing is correct, it looks promising.

Yup, looks like Justfly had pricing and times for JB- they seem pretty good.

Justfly let me get all the way to confirm for November dates, then errorred. Grumble. I definitely want that flight!

The times that Justfly are showing aren't the same as Kayak is showing?

I really don't want to have to stalk Jetblue all day tomorrow. :rotfl:

Justfly is showing a 3pm-ish non-stop, Kayak is showing 1pm-ish. Trying to get in a half-day of school for everyone, so 3pm would be great!

I'm just hoping for a 7am ish down and after noontime return. We're supposed to go to the inlaws tomorrow, I have my Ipad but what if they release while we are driving??? It's such a pain to book on my iphone.

I checked both Expedia and Travelocity and both had the same times and prices fir us. With one stop a day, I don’t get a lot of choices for bwi to mco

I spent about an hour today thinking it was Sunday and obsessively checking to see if they’d released the flights yet. LOL. I’m out of Boston too so Post if you get a good price! LOL

Is there a reason that I wouldn't want to book through Travelocity? They have $226 RT from BOS, which I would be happy with. ughhhhh

Maybe it won't work once I hit "complete booking?"

Without knowing your dates, I think the prices will go down. I don't think you'll be able to book yet anyway.

I didn’t think it would go through either. I really want to book right through JetBlue’s site anyways. $226 is a good price from BOS though... December dates

Thank you all for keeping the thread up n running...Good news is coming our way tomorrow.:thumbsup2
