Hi all
we will be heading down to the world some time september 2014 and we always fly southwest. But i have noticed that jet blue may be cheaper. For those that have used jet blue I would love to hear your thoughts about them Thank you!:thumbsup2

We love Jetblue, and they are our airline of choice.

Seats are roomy and comfortable, and each seat has its own individual TV :thumbsup2 . Makes the flight go by so much faster when you can tune in to your favourite show.

Advance seat selection is free and done at the time you book your tickets, so no worrying about early bird check in or open seating like with Southwest.

Each person gets one free checked bag.

All snacks are free and unlimited (and they are very yummy!).

We have always found the flight attendants very friendly.

And...if your flight price decreases after booking, they will credit you the difference to use against a future flight with a simple phone call.

:thumbsup2 agree with PP! I would fly to MCO with them more often IF they arrived earlier than 6pm. Only one flight a day from Austin.
Seats are very comfy!

We prefer Jet Blue also for all the same reasons as the first post but most of the time we get much cheaper prices on Southwest. If Jet Blue has cheaper prices then I definitely would fly with them!

We used to fly Southwest but only fly JetBlue now. The assigned seats and personal TV alone put JetBlue over the top. Have never had a bad experience with them.

I also agree with what everyone said about JB. We love them! Would not fly SW manly because I want to pick my seats ahead of time as I like the front of the plane.

Jetblue is definitely our airline of choice. We take them even if they are a little more money. Still not sure why they have been referred to as a budget airline because they are absolutely heads above the major carriers in every way possible. If I have to take Delta, United, etc.I feel like I have been relegated to the lower class! We fly often and have never had a bad experience with Jetblue. Southwest is our second choice.

LOVE LOVE Jetblue. Even better fares now that they fly out of PVD. Love being able to choose our seats in advance, the TVs are great (wish they had the Disney Channel) and one free checked bag.

I agree with PP. I LOVE Jet blue. It is our first choice always. As others have mentioned, they have extra room in the seats, tv in the seats, and you can pick your seats beforehand for no charge. Also, 1 free checked bag! :thumbsup2 Try them, I think you will like them.

JetBlue and their free bag makes me happy.

Their TV for each seat makes the kids happy.

I've only flown them a couple of times, but haven't had any trouble.

Totally agree with PPs! We love JetBlue and will pay extra to fly on them to WDW. In addition to giving you a credit if the price drops, they also have their Customers' Bill of Rights, which means that if you are delayed for more than an hour and it is their fault, they will credit you $50 for every hour you are delayed. Also, I've never had a flight cancelled by them and the most I've ever had a flight rescheduled was about 20 minutes.

In January, we are flying to DLR. I booked a great fare on United, but I'm a bit concerned because JB has spoiled me. Unfortunately though, the only direct flight I could get on JB left at 6:00 AM. No thanks! All other flights to the Los Angeles area had a connection in New York or Boston. I am not flying into either of those locations in January!

JetBlue is a good airline. TV's in the seats make the ride a little better for the kids. From here, JetBlue is always $50-60 more one way and you have to pay for baggage. We fly SW as it saves us $$ and is more convenient. If the cost were the same and I had to choose, I would probably take JetBlue so the kids can use the TV's.

Are you sure you have to pay for baggage? Is there something special about your home airport? JB advertises that your first bag flies free (under 50 lbs.)

We flew Jet Blue our last trip to Disney. It was the least expensive flight out of D.C. Loved them. The only issue we had was minor, most of the tvs did not work on the return flight. No one in our party had a working tv. But as I mentioned, it was not a big deal.

I wish Jet Blue had more flights out of Pittsburgh. Jet Blue is always much more than other airlines out of PIT, probably because they have so few flights.

On our very first flight with Jetblue, the TV at my seat was not working. I didn't even have to mention it to the FA's.....there was a card in my seat that entitled me to a $15 credit on my next JB flight, with their apologies.

In the event it ever happens to you again, you can contact JB for the credit. As per their Customer Bill of Rights, found here:

Inflight entertainment

"JetBlue offers 36 channels of DIRECTV®* service on its flights in the Continental U.S. If our LiveTV™ system is inoperable on flights in the Continental U.S, customers are entitled to a $15 Credit good for future travel on JetBlue."

We also always flew Southwest but like many we have noticed a big difference in some fares and we love Jet Blue so it's not a problem. I agree that the seats offer more room and we love having the TV with 36 channels and a nice variety of movies offered. And for many of the places we go Jet Blue offers great deals on nonstops.

JetBlue hands down is our airline of choice!!! We use United a lot also when booking miles b/c my hubby flies them for work.

We are flying JB for the first time in a couple weeks. Free bags, free seat selection and Dunkin Donuts coffee. What's not to love!!
