Jet Blue????

I had a voucher from a past flight so had to call in to book, but even though the message says "booking until 10/31" when the agent did a search, she was able to bring up my December flights. I booked on the spot, $ 226 rt from BUF to MCO 12/05(Tues) -12/16 (Sat).

My call was her frist attempt to book past 10/31 and it was a shock to her. She thought the website should be up within days for booking.

For my dates Jet Blue wants $1,850.00 for three tix!!!! I am soooo tempted to take Delta at $650.00 for three tix. It says that the plane is a 757-200. Isn't this a Song plane? It looks like a Song configuration from what I remember. If so could someone tell me...I'll take Delta then from JFK!

On Friday my flights were coming up at $730 for one ticket rt, but on Saturday it was $236. Try repricing your dates today.

Are you out of NYC? if so, then the pricing I found on Saturday was: $217/ticket rt. Give it another try!

Congrats to those who got a decent price. :thumbsup2

My dates of 11/4/06 - 11/12/06 from Boston to MCO are $297 RT on JB. I know that is better that the $600 for Delta that I was seeing, but I was hoping for at least $250. I am not sure if I should just buy them. I don't want to be sorry later if they go up. I have to buy 8 tickets and am not planning on traveling next year to use the credit if they go down. Oh... What to do.... What to do....

You can transfer jetblue credit to anyone you chose. Just provide them the code from the credit when it is issued.

I have like everyone else been watching all airlines and thier rates, I am thinking of taking JetBlue's rate of $277..00 rt X 4=$10.80 for our December trip. A far cry from what I have for our July trip with Southwest, an internet special at $542.00 for 4! Should I hang tough and maybe grab the same from Southwest or bite the bullet and go with JetBlue? Comments? Thank you kindly! :earsgirl: :smooth: :3dglasses

I decided to book Jetblue for our December trip. This morning it was $119 one way so with taxes and fees it ended up at $257 riund trip and $1024 for the 4 of us. More than I wanted to pay but acceptable. I hope Jet-blue is worth it! I haven't flown in over 5 years so I am not used to the "ticketless travel" and choosing your own seats thing.

I think you'll like it. I'm one of JetBlue's biggest fans. I like the whole vibe of the airline. The TVs are a godsend if you have kids and the flight schedule out of Boston couldn't be any better for me. I booked Dec 1-4 at $257 also. I wish it was lower, but I think these days that's going to be considered a decent price.

Glad I read this. I checked Jet Blue as I've been doing everyday 4 times and saw nothing. I just booked by going to kayak.com first. I wanted to go out of Newark but for the price I saved JFK will be fine. We're going Nov. 4-Nov. 11 :cheer2:

I have never flown JB. Is this true? You do not get your seats assigned when you book it? How does this work?

This was my first time booking. After I paid and put in the names of all the passangers with me I was then shown a seating chart and able to pick our seats.

When you make your reservation, you get to select where you want to sit. You should be brought to a seat selection page after you've entered your payment ifo. If not, you can do it anytime once you have your confirmation number. It really is easy.

Love Jet Blue. Glad they are flying out of EWR. Just wish they would expend where they go to. I hate driving out to JFK.

If you go through Kayak, is there any way to get fares for child and not just adult? I'm trying to book for 12/6-12/11 for one adult and one child and when it brings me to the jetblue site it only lists adult fares. I checked this morning and jetblue's site still only shows through 10/31 and I called and through their 800 number they're still only booking through 10/31.

I could be wrong, but I thought that they did not offer child fares...same price for adult or children :confused3

every time I have checked prices, (directly through Jet Blue, not kayak) I put in 2 adults, 3 children it comes up with the same price for every ticket

I think you're right about the fares being the same, but if you book through the site for dates through 10/31, they will come up separately as an adult fare and a child fare, even if they're the same $$ amount. I just don't want to have a problem because I have two adult fares booked when I show up at the airport with a 4 year old.

Hi lauritagoddess,

I travel alone with my DD also. I have booked on the internet, because of the great fare as 2 Adults. After I booked, I called the airline, & told them to please put in the computer that this is a child. FYI I have done this 3 times, 2 with Delta, & one with AA.

My advice, would be call the airline ASAP (you want to grab a good fare) ask them.

Hope this helps

Patricia

After reading another post on Disboards I called Jetblue directly and asked the agent to check for Nov/Dec fares. To her amazement they came up and I was able to book and pay for my 11/24-12/2 flight out of Rochester NY for $236 each. I didn't think I was going to do much better than this...

Good luck!

Kathy

I booked last night via kayak.com It did come out as 4 adults. I couldn't do child but when I checked Jet Blue I saw that they have the same rates anyway for adult/child. I just called Jet Blue and they said it wouldn't be a problem that I have down 4 adults even if 2 are children but they could change it for me. So now I am down as 2 adults and 2 children.

I called JetBlue again. When I called earlier this morning they had told me they were only booking through 10/31. I got another rep and she said the same thing but then checked and sure enough the flights were loaded and I got our flights for 12/6-12/11 out of JFK for $217 each, and with my son listed as a child fare. I'm so happy. I had booked with Delta but have been so leery about them and was happy to cancel those flights.

just wanted to add my thanks to all of you! went to kayak.com and bought my return tickets from Orlando today....ends up being around $200 roundtrip - leaving from JFK and returning to Newark.....I thought the price was interesting...it was $108 for the return flight ( includes taxes) per person....but hey, I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth! lol....and Jetblue's site still doesn't have November rates up yet I was redirected to their site to buy these seats - go figure!

Oh my gosh! Thank you so much everyone for this thread. :thumbsup2 I was just able to book my tickets for December 21-29 on Jet Blue....$257.00 r/t BOS-MCO!

While Ive flown for a lot less I knew over the holidays it would be around that price anyway, and everything else Ive been seeing (direct flights) is in the 300.00-600.00 range. I was getting worried.
