Anyone have historical perspective on when JB might put winter fares on sale?We plan to fly JB for our January 2011 trip; prices/schedules just got released. I read the other thread on the newest fares. My fare (NS Washington Dulles to MCO) was released and is consistent with the lowest prices I've been finding for August 2010. However, I know we payed significantly less for our trip last January, and I know that JB just started a fall fare sale. So I'm thinking that the January prices might drop after the initial release??

Thanks!

I'd like to hear the responses as well. We're looking around MLK weekend so I'm wondering if, for that timeframe, price drops won't be too likely.

Well, all I can tell you is the fare I'm watching for December is the same today as it was when those fares were originally released back in April/May... with no signs of going on sale. If those fares aren't dropping, I wouldn't hold my breath for a sale on newly-released fares.

iN jAN 2009 THE RATES ACTUALLY WENT UP AND THEN DOWN BUT NEVER AS LOW AS WHEN THEY FIRST CAME OUT FOR jET bLUE PLUS THERE MAY NOT BE THE FLIGHT YOU WANT SO I AM PLANNING TO BUY FOR JAN IN A WEEK OR 2 ONCE I GET EVRYONE IN MY FAMILY TO SETTLE ON THE EXACT DATE

From what I have seen with JB on previous trips, it's pretty rare of their prices to go significantly down. If they do, they are wonderful about crediting your Jet Blue account for the difference.

I just bought tixs, But I first looked at them months ago, I didnt buy them then cuz I couldnt afford it & thought they'd drop. They DIDNT, they were much cheaper with much better times when they first came out. Id buy them now. My tixs are reasonably priced but the times kinda suck & It woulda been better & cheaper if I woulda bought them @ the beginning.

My experience with Jetblue has been that they do adjust prices up and down fairly often, the problem is you have to be checking when they are down because that drop may only be for 1 day, and if you happen to catch it you simply call and they will issue a credit for a future flight.
I currently have flights booked for 4 future trips to WDW and I check them all almost daily.

We bought our JetBlue tickets for Dulles to MCO in March for our trip mid-September. I wasn't looking very hard for tickets. We made the decision the night before to go to Disney. So, that next day I went on line and liked the prices.

We paid $49/person each way (plus tax and fees). I have not seen the price go down that low again...in fact...I have seen it go up as high as $159/person each way...but it has been hovering around $89/per person each way.

They had their Spring sale a few weeks later and the prices were higher than what I paid.

Like others have said, you have to be lucky and check at the right time.

Also, I find it less expensive to fly on Tuesdays and Wenesdays with Jet Blue.
