Does anyone know how far in advance Jet Blue opens up dates for booking. Im looking specifically for next August.
Thanks!

from early January to May 2nd. That was several months ago, I booked my tickets for April 30th, 2005, the day it opened on June 26th, 2004.

I have to buy tickets to come back from MCO for May 5th, 2005, so I am waiting for the next flight of dates as well. Not that I really want to but I guess I will have to go back to work to pay for my next trip in September 2005.

I will be interested in this too. For off-peak times, I am OK waiting for a sale, but for peak demand periods, I want to be among the first ticket buyers.

So PJPoohBear, they opened up the Jan-April '05 schedule in late June '04, eh? Good to know, since I am planning to book them for February break '06, and will need to be ready to pounce, bcs I want good times on the right days, darnit! I don't mind giving them use of my money for all that time if it will guarantee me the times and dates and seat I want/need.

ok, wait a minute Pumpkinboy, you threw me off. Your words need to be in orange, now get it straight next time or else. ;)

:teeth:

I check the jetblue site at least several times a week. I have seen delays in release of the schedule when they add new cities.

The easiest way is to pull down the menu, but if you are in the last month listed generally only half a month or less is included. And I always seem to travel over a month end, when the flight home is not within the open schedule.

PS: Love your sig. :p

I think Pumpkinboy posted in blue because it's a JetBlue thread!;)
BTW, JetBlue wants $500 per person roundtrip for April school vacation....yeah, right....

:earseek: :earseek: :earseek:

So any guesses when flights for next summer will come out?

The Jet Blue schedule is out up unitl early September 2005!!!!!!!!

Good Luck everyone got my flights from Buffalo $192.00 return, all taxes. Much better then flying from Canada. I get to pick my seats, and to watch what I want on the wonderful little TV's.

I am happy!

Sorry to throw you off there Jillpie, especially with this being Pumpkin Season and all. On some of the other boards, especially those with a bluish background I change to a redder hue, for better contrast. ;) Sorry for the confusion hon'.

Actually, when the fares for April vacation first came out (which was about a month after Jillpie and I were booking Delta at midnight, 331 in advance), the JetBlue fares were a mere $300 ish r-t for a non-stop from Boston. This would have been only a slight increase in total cost for my family of four - and we had used frequest flyer miles for two of the tix! So the moral of the story is:
if you want the best fare on JetBlue, book as soon as they announce the fares, at least for peak times. That's what we're going to be doing for February break '06 in all likelihood.

I keep trying to try out JetBlue, but their fares seem to be higher than Song's are. My flight in June is about $165 pp, r/t..Logan to MCO. JetBlue would have been about $232. To date my fares with Song have always been cheaper and I could book further out.

Thanks again for the head up, Penny!
I guess its offical now...we are going to California! We got round trip tickets, direct flights, Boston/Long Beach for 289.20 each. I was hoping to keep it under 300.00 so Im happy with this. DL& DCL here we come( Im still in shock)!

Thanks for the heads up everyone! We are actually going to fly when we go in August:earseek: I finally convinced DH that my missing 2 days of summer school per diem pay would just about pay for our plane tickets, so we could leave on a Saturday instead of driving for 2 days. He has seen the light! (or the $$$$$$) I know about what I want to pay for jetblue, no more that 79 each way. Right now the 3rd week of August 13-20, I can get $79 on the way down, but $96 for the trip home. Should I wait a see if they go down a little, or snatch them up now before the oil prices catch up to the airline industry?

We'll be there the same week!

I just booked my tickets with JetBlue same rate you have 79/96. I think its a good fare. I've been keeping track of all the other sites for a couple of months & there wasn't anything lower than $175.

If your return day is one of the highly travelled days, then the $96 is the lowest starting price. Those days include Fridays, Sundays and even some Saturdays.

If your flight goes down in price, Jetblue has been very good about issuing credit for the difference.

Book now, get a choice of seats and then if the price goes down you have a credit towards your next trip!

Cam, I checked this when I booked our upcoming trip. You can book no more than nine months out. I booked in April for our trip 10 day from now and got great fare and good seats.

Are you sure 9? I just booked yesterday for my August trip, which is just under 10 months away. ;)

Have a great trip! :D

The end of the schedule is out for like 10-11 months from now. They open up a block of months when the wind blows. When I first booked with them they only had 6 months normally open and now they have like 10+ months, seems like they try to get the jump on other lower priced airlines,. Works great for planners like me!
