Any idea when jet blue will release dates for December? Thinking they are going to be better than SW- Thanks

Perhaps in a few weeks. I seem to remember booking my JB flights for early Dec in mid-May last year. I'm waiting for them to open up also!!! But I don't think they're going to be cheap. I'm flying JB in August and the fares are almost ridiculous....I got one seat for $99 from Boston to MCO, but had to pay $124 for the other two seats. Now they're up to $149 each. And the flight home from Tampa was, and is, $159. Man, not cheap.

2006 the fares into Jan 07 were released on May 12. (Just checked my credit card statement for the date) I remember that they were on Kayak.com before they were actually on JetBlue's site. We traveled over Thanksgiving & were able to get decent prices that day, within 2 days the prices had gone from $99 to $149 & never went down. We also flew JetBlue Boston to Buffalo after Christmas & got great prices, & those fares did come down late summer or early fall. i just kept checking every few days. So for this year I wd check everyday starting next week.

Forgot to respond to second part of your question. JetBlue was definitely cheaper that SW last year even catching SW on the day they released their flights which was several months later. It takes about the same time for us to get to Logan or TF Green, but I'd much rather fly JetBlue than SW.

Capecod53 is right. For some reason I've seen the JetBlue release prices on Kayak and Sidestep before they are on their own website. I would check them also. I have been checking everyday and late at night for them to release Nov '07 dates.

Thanks for the info-JB is $99 out of Boston right now and SW is $158-I'd rather fly out of PVD but need direct flights with 2 little ones. I guess Boston it will be-I will check daily as well. Glad to hear good things about JB these days.

They haven't released the Dec fares on kayak yet, I've been watching for a few weeks now. Actually, they were on there a few days ago but there was a glitch, JB came up when I entered my Dec dates but I noticed in the details the departure and return were both 10/31, that lasted for a couple of days and now no JB fares are coming up.

I booked our June airfare to California with JB through the kayak link in Dec before they released on their own website and I got a better rate than I've seen on the JB website since, so I'm steadily watching kayak for their Dec fares.

I'm also waiting for JB to release the November dates. I've never used kayak do you get the same advantages if you book direct with jetBlue? (like being able to get a discount if the rates go down, or the $30 change policy?) Thanks.

Funhouse8: Kayak.com is really just a search engine, you are directed to whatever site had the fare, it cd be expedia, orbitz, etc. I have always be directed to JetBlue itself because they are not included in any of the big travel sites. So you will book with JetBlue & get the online discount & points.
