First, to all the people who are scheduled to fly today and in the coming days with the increased security risks and new carry-on restrictions, I wish you all luck and hope that your flights are able to continue as scheduled with minimal hassle.

I have been searching for decent airfare for Feb out of MHT but nothing under $350 so far. I am considering flying Jet Blue out of Portland, ME instead. The prices are pretty good $237 RT but the kids will have to miss a day of school (I can live with one day). I was wondering though if it would make any sense to book OW tickets in case the price drops because if I got a credit I would be able to apply it to the return flight since I doubt I will be flying again within a year to use up the credits. I am thinking, however, that I should book at this price and not look back and not worry if the price goes up or down. Maybe I just answered my own question. I think maybe I should just book the tickets and stop checking prices after that. WWYD?

Tinkim--$237 from the Northeast for February is a good price. My ONLY caveat to you would be, that flying out of the Northeast, in February, weather can be a BIG issue. I try to only fly non stop when we go to FL in February, and if we HAVE to fly with connections, I try to make them no further north than Atlanta.

That being said, I've flown in February the past 5 years, and not ONCE have I had a weather related problem (Oh great, why did I just type that out? :rotfl: ).

Good Luck!!!

Sometimes booking one way puts you in the "selectee" category. That means you need to leave the regular line and go through a more intense screening.
Jetblue lets you transfer your credit to another traveler so maybe that would be an option for you, should you not be able to use the credit.
