Jet Blue pricing after Apr 30

Two Jet Blue questions:

1) I keep checking but Jet Blue has not released flights and prices after Apr 30...any body know when this might happen? We are planning to book a house at WH but without knowing the pricing I can't settle on exact dates as I find Jet Blue pricing can be a bit squirrely at times - example Apr 23 nonstuip BUF to MCO is $89, the next day its over $200.


2) Is it true you can the best deal by purchasing flight tickets early?

Yes it is, at least with jet blue. We booked our March plane tickets at $99 direct each way as they usually run their seat sales early. Once those seats are booked prices go up..I would also imagine though they reintroduce seat sales as a last minute promotion when necessary to fill seats..

Jet Blue seems to release more seats at the end of each month. I'd check at the end of each month to see what's available. I think at the end of December, they'll release May and at the end of January they'll release June. But you should check at the end of each month to be sure.

Jet Blue usually has a window of open reservations that's 5 to 8 months out. Currently they've dropped below that level but should be opening up new months soon. I'd expect new dates into or through July when they add reservation time. If you look at the Jet Blue home page and try to book a flight click on the calendar and you'll see unreservable calendar pages for May, June and July. Usually when they add those months to the calendar that means they'll be opening those months up when new dates are released. I'd be looking for an announcement after Christmas.
