We're flying from Newark to MCO in late November. I went online and checked the fares last night and it came out to $327. That sounds kind of high. Do you Jet Blue experts think it's likely to go down between now and then? Any idea how far in advance the fares might start to drop?

Thanks.

:wave2:

When in late November are you flying, around Thanksgiving? If it is around Thanksgiving, who can guess if they will drop at all. But, I can tell you that when we booked EWR-FLL during spring break time for a cruise we were taking, the price dropped significantly after we booked, and we were able to get a credit without a problem. Good luck!

I expected Jet blue to be cheaper, but I just booked SWA out of Philly for 49 dollars heading down. I haven't booked heading back yet because the flight time sucked. So I'm stalking all the airlines' for cheap prices from now until next month!

GOOD LUCK!!

I see that you live in Staten Island, I believe that the rates for Jet Blue are better out of JFK. Granted you're real close to EWR, but the extra ride to JFK may be worth the trip. :)

Thanks for the responses. I'll try JFK and see how that is.

We haven't flown in a few years. I'm surprised how high fares have gone, although I guess I shouldn't be with fuel prices being what they are.

I've been looking at all kinds of airlines for our November trip (coming back the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend), and actually found JetBlue to be the most expensive of the bunch! I was really surprised. I looked out of JFK, LGA, and EWR (I live basically the same distance to all three airports). What I finally ended up doing was booking the outbound on JetBlue and the return on American... came out to $89 + $164 per person. Much cheaper than the $89 + $299 we were looking at on JetBlue. Delta wasn't much cheaper either... :confused3
