Was just checking and Jet Blue is now booking through the end of October. Hope you all find some good prices. I'm still waiting for better ones. LOL

Booked Our Flights!
I was quite happy with the air fares and we booked, my credits cover both DH & my fare RT and still ended up with $ left over. I paid $122 and $97 making the total for us both $480.50.

Our flights are booked! Newburgh to Orlando $117 per person each way, for a total after taxes $510.80 for 2 people. A little more then I wanted to pay, but really not so bad.

No surprises here. Now instead of just waiting for August, I've added October to that wait. Not outrageous like August, but I'm in no hurry.

Well, I bought our tickets for Sept. I paid $289 roundtrip from Buffalo. These are direct flights, early AM going, late afternoon leaving. Paid $219 for the same floghts last Sept. I had been watching SW direct flights on our dates & Jetblue prices in Aug. They are running about $400 per person. So while this is more than we have paid before, at least ther're not as bad as they could be. I couldn't imagine paying $400 or more. :scared1: I had hoped for about $250. I'll keep watching & try to catch a sale & get a credit. If not, 290 is still better than 400!! ;)

Also, I had a terrible time trying to book. I tried 3 times & was unable to finish the transaction. Got thru the whole booking & then it would tell me to pick a different flight. :confused3 I called the 800 no & the agent was able to book it for me. She waived the booking fee since I was trying to do it, but the site wouldn't let me. Very nice agent & very helpful. I was praying she got the names & birthdates, etc right. When you're used to doing it yourself, kind of scary to let someone else do it. :goodvibes

Good luck all!

Edit: Wish I could wait like you can N2MM! You must have nerves of steel! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

What days are you going?? I also booked out of Buffalo for $289 round trip, leaving in the morning coming back in the afternoon/evening - both direct! These flights were about $150 cheaper than the ones I saw on Southwest. With Southwest, the flight prices have steadily increased the longer they have been out so I jumped on jet blue while they were low! I didn't have any problems booking directly through jetblue.com. I actually almost finished it out through orbitz.com until I realized I couldn't select my seats.

Got ours too:cool1:! Price was higher than I was hoping but lower than I was fearing, so I feel okay about it. $122 pp/each way out of HPN for Columbus Day weekend. Last year we paid a lot less for the flight down there on Weds. but about the same for the flight home.

Hi! We are going Sept. 10th & returning Sept 17th. I'm OK with the price, I guess considering gas prices. I can't believe how high SW prices are. I think if they stay that high for too long, people will not be traveling as much. I'll still hope for a sale tho! The extra leg room seat prices have doubled from the first time I used them, too. Paid $15 the first time we flew Jetblue, they're $30 now. I passed on that. DH will have to manage without the extra room!

Glad you didn't have any trouble booking. It was very strange. I tried from about 6:15 until 7 AM then called Jetblue. I'm glad the agent was able to book it & not charge me. I didn't want to miss the decent fare.

I took the plunge and booked our flights out of Boston also. 9/25 return on 10/1. More than I hoped for but right around what I had planned for. And I don't mind getting a credit if the fares go down since we are flying next spring also. Good Luck to everyone getting what you want!

I got ours on JB today too, Hartford to Orlando, Oct 4-10, early morning departure, afternoon return, non stops. Wasn't thrilled with the pricing, ended up at about $264 pp but I think with the gas situation they are only going to get higher.

Funny! I do tend to play the waiting game....I just bought our May tickets a few weeks ago! Just wanted to mention that I've had that problem when booking and told to go back and choose a different flight. Sounds like they are still getting the system up and running with the new information -- we all know their site is not that good to begin with! Congrats on getting your tickets, now the wait begins for any drops so you can add some credits to your trueblue account. Watch those fares on Tuesday/Wednesday as that's generally when the sales are, however, I've seen drops on Fridays too! I'm off to go put these new flights on my Yapta account so it can start tracking them for me.

How does the credit thing work if the fares you book go down in price? Do you they refund your credit card or do they give you some kind of credit to use toward a future flight?

Looks like everyone from Buffalo will be going to Orlando in September. I also just booked to go. I was watching southwest's flight prices go up and up. I was happy with the $289 that I paid to Jet Blue. I figure I can get the credit should it go down but I was afraid the prices will only go up so I did not want to wait.

It is a credit for future use. If you have a Tru Blue account, they put it in there. Good for 1 year from when you got the credit, not when you booked. I think someone other than the original passenger can use it, too.

I didn't have a Tru Blue account in 2009 & the credit was just tied to the confirmation no. that was a little more work to use, tho. So it seems better to have a Tru Blue account.

Just call them if you see a lower price & they'll credit the difference. The only thing is, when I did this the first time, they "rebooked" & we actually paid the extra leg room charge twice. Don't know if that is usual or not. Never paid for the extra leg room after the first trip.

I booked ours today on Jet Blue as well. We are leaving from Syracuse on 10/21 and got round trip for 288. This will be our daughters first time on a plane ever, I'm already starting to get nervous!!

On the confirmation JB sent me said about me not choseing the extra leg room and offered them for $10, with a clickable link to "change seats"

I was going to book those seats except when I thought about it I honestly do not think I could help others like it stated in an emergency, DH said "I can open the door" I told him to read again it said you had to help other passengers exit :rotfl:

:rotfl2: We don't care about the Bills, we've just gotta be back before the Sabres season starts!

Jet Blue has great round trip prices for my trip out of Bradley to MCO. Unfortunately, I already bought my one way ticket to MCO with Southwest, so now I'm kind of stuck. I guess I can just fly Jet Blue back, but I'll wait and see what SW offers next week when their schedule opens up again. *Sigh* Really wish I waited!!! I got a great price for my SW flight, but it's not a non stop, we stop in Baltimore, and we will arrive in Orlando around 2. That just seems like such a waste of a day!

Hopefully SW prices will drop and I can change my flight somewhere over the next 6 months! :confused3

I just booked our two round trippers out of BDL for Sept today for $438 after tax!!
