Anyone else stalking the flights on JetBlue from PVD to MCO? They were just released and the only flights from PVD to MCO are in the evening. We just flew out of there last week and had a 530am flight. REALLY hoping those same flights are released soon...

wow, that's crazy. we flew Jet Blue in the past from PVD and there were like 4 nonstops/day. Haven't bought tix yet but we are going in April and there is a 6AM and one evening flight. On the return later in the day and the grands will have to go to school the next day.

SW has cut way back on NS from PVD and MHT, likely because of Max 8's.
not sure what we will do, I have the Hopper app watching flights for me.We are west of Boston

Yeah - it looks like the 6am flight is available through the end of April. When they just released the flights from May onward, it was gone. DH is PISSED as we HATE flying out of Logan. We flew out on that early morning flight last week to MCO - it was great - we were at our resort for 10am - got to spend the whole day there. With the evening flight, I'm basically wasting a day (and DVC points) for travel. Not cool.

We're also west of Boston (right outside Worcester) so we're equidistant from both BOS and PVD but obviously prefer the ease of PVD.

I live smack in between Boston and Providence along 95, and travel a lot for work. Two years ago I could get great rates out of PVD and much preferred flying out of there. Then in the last year and a half, prices out of PVD have been climbing and the times available have been less conducive to my work travel. I fly almost exclusively SW and Delta, with Jet Blue for certain areas I have to go to. I don't know if they're cutting back on PVD because of the Max 8's or other reasons, but it's definitely driven me to fly out of Boston.

JB does not have any Max'8's. They only fly Airbus and ERJ's. SW of course has the Max 8 and I am not sure about Delta.

It could be a summer/seasonal thing where they are cutting down to 1 flight a day between PVD and MCO and they will bring the early flight back in the fall.

Go the night before and find a cheap hotel near the airport. We did that once, stayed at a Sheraton Four Points. Checked in to CSR at 8:30am.

I'm debating that; however as it will be just DH and I and our 1 year old - we want to be able to use DME and not deal with our bags - so it'd have to be a night at a value resort!

Is that a thing? We flew from PVD in June 2018 on an early morning flight...

Yes, airlines will add/reduce the number of flights between locations depending on the season. For example JB has a flight that runs from SEA to Anchorage from about May to Sept only. Other city pairs may have 5 non stops in the summer but only 3 in the winter or the opposite. I don't know if they have reduced flights before between PVD and MCO though, but I don't believe they have. For example they could have looked at psgr counts the past couple years and realized it was not worth running 2 flights a day in the summer between PVD and MCO but the BOS to LA market needed another flight so they could have added a flight between BOS to Long Beach.

We are looking for JetBlue November 2020
I check every week - our area is also May 2020

Have you tried Bradley? We usually fly PVD and our family is from Worcester. We noticed a BIG difference in flights this year PVD - MCO. I hope SW doesn't follow suit - they are hugely impacted by the Maxes not flying.

If you arrive after 10:00, you’ll have to pickup your bags.

We also need them for Sep 2020! We're flying with friends who live on the North Shore for that trip - so we're going to (begrudgingly) go to BOS.

I have not looked at Bradley - that's Hartford, right? Does JB fly out of there? We have the credit card/getting JB points - so we're tied to that airline!

Good to know! The flight we're looking at lands at 830pm on SAT - so we'd be OK with DME then, right?

JB has daily non-stops [BDL-MCO] in the May /June timeframe. BDL -->> MCO , depart 7:00 AM and 7:30 PM. Daily return flights, MCO --->> BDL, depart 10:39 AM and 2:48 PM. Relatively easy to get to off of I91 North, exit 40 [route 20]. Plenty of long term parking options as well as hotel stay and park deals.

Not sure but the nice person above this post said, yes. I actually live in R.I. We did Bradley once and saved a bundle over PVD or BOS using SW.

Good to know! Is there parking where you don't have to get on a shuttle? One thing we LOVE about PVD is parking in the 3rd garage and just walking to the terminal. Also super helpful with the baby and suitcases. :)

That's awesome! My SIL and her BF flew out of Bradley for our last trip - SW - had the best flight times and the cheapest flights of all of us - go figure!?!!

Yes, they have 2 options. See attached:

The garage parking "G" is a little pricey compared to the other options. Express lot 1 is outdoors and walkable to terminal. About a 1/4 mile.

I fly out of pvd mainly for convenience since I live in Burrillville. We usually fly SW in September and can always get early morning flights around $112 each way. Parking at garage C (long term covered parking) is pretty reasonable. Garage C is now owned by Red Beam Garage.

They may not be delivered until very late or the next morning.

As others have said as long as it lands before 10p you will be all set. However with an 830p arrival you are probably looking at at arriving at your resort no earlier than 930p, if things go right. Most likely you will not arrive until 10p or later. Disney says to expect your luggage 3 hours after you arrive at your resort so you are probably looking at no earlier than 1a if you arrive at 10p. With that said if you want DME/Disney to deliver your luggage pack what ever you need for the first 24hrs in a carry on (a good idea in general not just for Disney). When you arrive at your resort ask them to hold your luggage until the next morning. When you awake in the AM call bell services and ask them to deliver it and they usually bring it pretty quickly. Or you might even be able to schedule a time the night before when you ask them to hold it.

If you don't want to wait for your luggage do not put the yellow tags on your bags and get them at baggage claim and bring them to DME on your own. They will then put them under the bus and give them to you when you get off the bus. Depending on the airline you may have to go down to Baggage claim (Level 2) get your bags, go back up to Level 3, cross the airport and go to level 1 for DME.
