I want to book a one-way flight from MCO to BOS on January 4th. If I book that, then decide I want to change the flight to the 6th, can I just make that change without a fee? I've only flown SW, so I'm not familiar with JetBlue policies. Thanks

No!

I think SWA is the only airline without a change fee.

All the airlines have the fees listed on their website but JB is $150 in addition to any additional fare increase over the fare you originally paid.

details here:
http://www.jetblue.com/legal/flights-terms/

Jetblue starts at $75 per ticket for change fee. If you cancel or change within six weeks of the flight the cost varies based on the cost of the ticket.

I wonder if things have changed I know it was 75 in the past but was looking to book my mother in law and all over the website it shows 150 now? (As evidenced in the link above) In my case her health is up/down so I am reluctant to purchase JB for her at this point unless she agrees to trip insurance.

Ok yes it is apparently $75 still - just went back in and tried again and got the fare rules stating $75 to change/cancel, interesting !

The change fee is based on the price of the ticket. If you think you may have to cancel, or change, a ticket, it's probably not a good idea to book with an airline other than SW.
