Has anyone used Jet Blue's "Even More Speed" feature at the Orlando airport?

When I was at the airport a few days ago, I saw where that line was. It definitely was a shorter line to get to the spot where they check your ID and boarding pass.

But after you get past that point, are you mixed in with everyone else while you wait to get to the x-ray machine (whatever it's called)? Or do you get to cut that line, also?

We have had it both ways at MCO. Two trips ago the line was shorter to get to the ID check and then we were in a separate line that went much faster than all the rest. Last trip though even though we lined up where the even more speed line was, we were just in with the rest of everyone waiting to get through security. The last time it didn't seem like they had enough people working the lines at security so that may have been the reason for the even more speed line being nothing different than the regular lines. We were flying Sun. night of marathon weekend so the airport was packed.

The problem is MCO really controls the "access" and lately they have been trying to shut down the "elite" lines claiming they aren't needed thanks to pre-check. So who knows what you might get?

If I pay extra for 'extra speed' at MCO, you had best know that I am going to get into that line! MCO can refund me my money if they deny me access!!!
I have gotten into that line. I was a precheck person, didn't pay anything extra, on my last flight out of MCO. My dd had to go through the regular security line. Now, I got through the id part very quickly. BUT...the scanner line? Yeah, not so much. It was nasty. Dd and I got done at almost the exact same time. I'm not sure what the holdup was but it took forever.
But at Boston's Logan, I got through that line very quickly!

Will be interesting to see what happens on our trip next week. We have the precheck number and will see what happens. When we didn't get the separate line on our Jan. trip I actually emailed JetBlue about it and they did give us a partial credit since we did have the extra leg room seats. At least that was nice of them since it really isn't their decision at the airport.

Last time at Mco we had extra speed and the tso made us go to the family line which was LONG. I get we had kids but my kids are good with this stuff. They would have their bins ready and shoes off (when it was necessary) before most of the adults. I'm glad I ask magic express for an earlier pick up time. We actually needed that time to get through the line.

You paid for it, it said it on your tickets, (well, the kids tickets) and the TSA wouldn't let you in that line? Man I would have been peeved. My dd, from the age of 7, has been more efficient than most adults in security!

Good luck with the refund. Airport management has made it very clear that they could care less what their customers say or do. So if they give you a quicker ID check in their world you should be grateful

Alright, alright, alright. :cool1: Peeved at the airport security screener. :thumbsup2. Would you say anything? ;)

Probably. I would ask why we weren't allowed to use the faster line, and that my children were more than capable to go through quickly. Then, when I was told no, I would be in touch with JetBlue to find out why I hadn't received what I had paid for. I 'get' that the TSA doesn't care that I paid an addtl $10 for the 'fast lane', and that is is 'only' $10....but if JB can not guarantee that I can use that line after paying for it, then they need to stop charging for it. It's just the principle of it that bothers me. I have been behind senior citizens that took forever. And before anyone gets their panties in a twist, I'm a senior citizen! But they were clueless. And that wasn't even the 'precheck' line.....it was a line designated for experienced fliers. There was a line for families, and a regular line for anyone. But no, those seniors just had to be in front of me! They didn't understand why they had to take off their shoes, they argued about full size toiletries in their carry on bag, and the woman wasn't able to stand with her arms up, over her head, so had to be pat down. Now, I watched her go through her 'search'....she was treated with dignity and respect, and very gently. But her husband was nutty and kept yelling at the agents. It was mind boggling. But, I have gone off on a tangent here....
I've never said the TSA is perfect, or even all that effective. I just can't see dumping on the group as a whole for the crappy behavior of some. And I think that there should be consistency....if a 'child' isn't going to be allowed to use the fast line, then they shouldn't be allowed to choose it as an option when booking. Just saying.

When a passenger cannot assume the position for the WBI, they should be directed to the WTMDS and only given the hands on body search if they alarm. But, in their lack of consistency, some Airport Security Screeners treat those folks as an "opt out." Either the Airport Security Screener doesn't know the protocol, or it's spite.

So to get back to my original question, it seems as though it's probably not worth it for me to pay for the Even More Speed. Thank you for the replies.

I won't pay for just the 'even more speed'. If I want more legroom, fine, I get it then, but I'm not paying extra for just that one thing....not when it can arbitrarily be denied.
